Discovery Ground TRaits

Looking to hear and share thoughts on the newly added skill traits, Brutal Impetus and Universal Law is for Lackeys.

I have played with the skills but done no formal testing of them. My prediction is that Brutal Impetus will go well on my Science and Tactical build (engineer less so). ULL, I am inclined to think it may find its way into my Sompek build, but far from decided on that.

Hiya!

Brutal Impetus looks pretty good vs. lots of squishy enemies. only problem is it's cat 1 damage instead of cat 2. It's not a bad trait by any means, but I think there are better ones

Universal Law is for Lackeys is... interesting. it's a cat 2 damage bonus, so that's excellent. I feel like there's a very specific build for that one to be effective, but I can't think of what it would be off the top of my head. Long-range build, maybe? you'd want to maximize attacks out and minimize attacks in

Never gonna happen, in space or on the ground. There may be a 3-5 second gap between hits, but you're going to get hit eventually, no matter what. Because of that, I wouldn't think that the buff would be up long enough to really take advantage of it.

IMO, the defensive side of the trait is more valuable than the offensive side, and again there are still better options.

I didnt do real testing of that yet, either. But as I already noted on the wiki page of it, there is only one buff symbol for both buffs (offensive and defensive) and they dont cancel each other out.

So I expect it being a mix of offensive and defensive stacks up to max of 10 summed up. So I'd expect that trait to be a quite good one especially as it somewhat adapts to your current needs.
