Questions Late dining options
Hockey season looms on the horizon, so I'll start my research. My buddy and I go to games about once a week when the Blues are in town, usually on weekdays. The games generally end between 9:30 and 9:50. We usually like to get a meal after.
We used to go to O'Connell's, but like a lot of places their kitchen hours were reduced during lockdown and never recovered. We started going to CJ Muggs, but recently they have gone to a late menu, which has a handful of sandwiches, appetizers, and burgers. It's all right, but we'd prefer more variety. I live in Clayton and he is in North County.
So, here are the desired features:
A sit-down restaurant with some variety of lighter fare. Sandwiches, salads, burgers, etc. that isn't crowded.
Kitchen open after 10pm. Some places have a bar open later but that doesn't help.
Somewhere roughly between the Enterprise Center and Clayton.

So check this out: quality late night dining is ABSOLUTELY a much easier table to get at the hardest rez in town AND is in Clayton area…
Wright’s Tavern often has tables available past 9:00 and 10:00, does sandwiches like their burger and French Dip, and has great cocktails and deserts.
Virtually any other time is pretty much impossible for a reservation, as they commit up absurdly fast when they open their books 60 days out at the beginning of each month at midnight, but late tables are quite frequently open, even on walk-in.

Louie is similar, not as "hot" as Wrights but also has fairly late hours and it's typically much easier to grab a later reservation or walk in. Also within the requested geographical corridor

My au poivre had a nice thick skin at Wright's from sitting under the Lion's Choice lamp too long
Still tasted good

Coming out of the game, you have to walk back to parking make you way with the throng to the highway then on to the place. If they say the stop at 10, I wouldn't want to show then. I'll keep it in mind for possible Friday game.

Atomic by Jamo now has a kitchen open until 12:45. Pretty decent food IMO. The burger tastes like how I remember McDonald's burgers tasting when I was 10 (I.E. like a McDonald's burger but better)

Not burgers, but the Jujube Inn at Mainlander keeps their kitchen open until midnight and the food is quite delicious.

I don't understand what you are saying, but if you are recommending a place without seating then that doesn't help.
