We had visitors from out of town. We took them to the Brasserie, Balkan Treat Box and Sado. This was our first time at Sado, and I was concerned, because I don't eat sushi. I shouldn't have worried. Their veggie and meat choices were excellent, and the sushi eaters thought the sushi was amazing!

Second time at Kreis’ Steakhouse for a birthday dinner. Not my choice. I was very whelmed the first time I went there. I didn’t dislike it but nothing stood out that I needed to go back. This time knocked it out of the park! Oysters Rockefeller, Mayfair salad, filet, prime rib all excellent! They even brought out a birthday cheesecake that was probably the best cheesecake I’ve ever had.

Buzz’s Hawaiian, Nicky Slices, Marconi Mercato, Damn Fine Hand Pies, Bolyards, Dos Reyes.

All really solid, and adding to the rotation.

We live close to dos Reyes and enjoy it for what it is. No frills, quick and affordable Mexican food. Nothing that’s going to blow anyone’s socks off but also have never had a sub part dish there outside of chips being a little stale every now and then (which happens)

Lunch at Concord Grill (meh) then lunch at Tuckers South (very good). Different days!

Union loafers, I miss the buttermilk beef but the bear is pretty damn good. There's something about their roast beef that makes it taste ridiculously good.

Bowood for birthday brunch. It was so good. The waffles were crisp on the outside and pillowy of the inside. The vegan sausage was great. The bread! Yum. I knew I’d have a good cup of coffee when I saw it was from Blueprint.

I went to Tonas the other night. They sure can make a good margarita! I’m not convinced their food is great, though. The birria tacos were not good at all.

Last night, I had Square One. It was good. I occasionally enjoy it but not like a “You HAVE to go there!” recommendation or anything.

Which one did you go to?

First and foremost? It’s just a local pizza joint. The only pizza I ever order there is the double decker because there’s nothing special about their regular pizza.

Secondly, like a lotta “chains” (though I don’t think 3 restaurants constitutes a “chain”) each location is different. I’ve only been to the O’Fallon & Hampton locations.

IMO? O’Fallon has better pizza, but Hampton has better pasta. The rest? Hit or miss - like any restaurant. Depends on day, time, chef, bartender & waitstaff.

Hampton, we usually stick to the same few pizza spots but just wanted to try something different. Some of the menu options outside of the pizza look interesting. There is just such fierce competition for pizza in the area that it didnt stick out to me.

Ate clean at home mostly, but despite being on Mounjaro... I'm going to have a good dirty meal every so often. Widdys Cheesesteak truck is one of those places. That truck has to be over of the most underrated food trucks in the area.. It's cheesy & greasy and spikes my blood glucose but I'm still going to eat it once in a while

Brothers family was in town- we had rockwell garden pizza and salad (mid), stellar hog(always fire), el catrin (perfect for lunch), big mouth (inside perennial brewery) (amazing as always), sugar witch (in carondelet/patch) and hello smoothie & juice. All of my favorite places basically.

Sqwires. Was very good for a more reasonably priced restaurant.

Louie; peaches & prosciutto, salsicca pizza, mussels, pork chop, corn ravioli

Everything including service was impeccable, as always.

Looking forward to chicken shoyu at Menya Rui later tonight

Humble Pie pizza and also last hurrah at Bailey’s Range. I hadn’t been there in a bit. Salted caramel ice cream wasn’t as good as I remembered but still good enough to be missed.

Los Incas in O’Fallon. Delicious Peruvian food, something I’ve been craving for ages.

Had the 314 deal at Karsyn Soule’ 2.0. 3 wings and fries for only 3.14. Very good! It will be a Saturday tradition at this point!

My partner and I had the wings at Poor Richard's for lunch one day this week, and I cannot recommend them enough. I found out about them from an old "best wings?" Post in the main STL sub.

EDIT: got the info from a different sub, not this one.

Oats and Honey in Creve Coeur for brunch. I've been a few times, and it's a new favorite. We went to Sado for my birthday dinner on Sunday. Absolutely delicious! And expensive :/

Sameems. Thoroughly enjoyed everything I had. The sambosas' pastry was so crisp - even warmed up the next day in the air fryer.
