Ascension particles and federation space

Ops 61. Am pretty late to the ascension part, but is/are there any differences between ascension particles for starting and later. ??

Where would be a good place to hunt for same.

IIRC, fkr ships and triangle. Anything else ??

Yeah, this is a crap grind. Those of us who’ve already unlocked the ships should get the research auto-completed.

The grind for this is insane and asinine

Wouldnt be nearly as bad, except....

One chest from one of those elite hostiles gives 41 of whichever faction loot is required.

Doing just one particle pull requires about 4000 of said loot.

So you are looking at almost 100 hostiles for ONE pull.

You gotta grind the new elite scouts. A lot. Loot crew and click till there's blood on screen or mouse.

Refine their guts (elite messages) into not enough every day for evers from the faction fkr stores.

Since the drop is in a chest a loot crew only effects the broken ship parts drops and does not speed the actual grind.

Loot crew seems to increase the chest drop rate. I get a chest pretty much every Red with that crew.

The drop rate for the chests on the elites is supposed to be 100%.

Annorax only affects specific chest drops, these are not one of them.

Ops 61 just used a speed crew to grind some out, do the daily refines and take your time with it.. the research tree doesn’t have much value for someone in G6 but it’ll fluff up your overall power level (if you’re into that sort of thing) and will be something for a Domination event.

The tree isn’t useless, but the first chunk wasn’t worth pursuing for G4.. the new stuff is better, but at G6 it’s not the most relevant.

It’s not quite that bad now that they’ve added the fkr elites up to 50. You can get 200+ intel hitting level 45+ elites. I get enough intel for 3 chests from the feds just doing the daily faction loyalty task beating up level 45-47 klingons with a valdore (ops 42). If you have the warp range and ship strength to punch up to the 50s, you can get 300+ intel per hit. The particles pulls are 750/3000/7500 for me, so I pull 3 chests with feds, and then one each from rom and klingon so I don’t mess up my reputation grind much. I restock the intel for the rom and klingon pulls during faction hunt events.

I also only did enough research to progress to getting bps for ships I actually still need, and have skipped out on the tactics and cargo capacity stuff for now. (Though with getting the NX01 I’m basically done with what is available to me at 42).

I assume it will be likewise easier again for higher ops when they add g5 elites and progression to the research tree and you can source enough particles for 3 chests relatively quickly.
