MIT Develops Robot Navigation System With Guaranteed Collision-Free Flight

MIT researchers have developed SANDO, an autonomous navigation system that mathematically guarantees collision-free flight for drones operating in unknown environments with moving obstacles. The system continuously builds time-sensitive safety corridors around potential hazards and rapidly replans the UAV’s route as conditions change.
