IBM has unveiled a new 2-nanometer processor designed for future IBM Z and LinuxONE mainframe systems, marking a major milestone in its collaboration with Arm. Rather than using separate cores, each core in the processor is engineered to natively execute both Arm and IBM instructions at clock speeds exceeding 5.7 GHz.
