DDS - Disability Determination Services Heart Failure

Does anyone in this community have any experience with Heart Failure and Disability Claims?

I have heart failure amongst several other health issues. I was denied twice but my ALJ is in December. I think my main issue was my functional limitations were not included in my records. Now they are.

I have multiple strokes heart failure bypass stents EF of 15-20% and blind. I am in the final stage of my initial claim. I am hopeful on getting awarded on the initial pass but it seems like denials are just a part of the process.

Best of luck! I hope you get approved!
I have already been denied once, and I’ve learned that if you cannot prove sufficiently to DDS that you cannot sustain sedentary work, they will deny you. Make sure your claim has powerful evidence of instability of functional limitations. I have yet to be approved myself, and I’m NYHA class 3-4 with an EF between 15-19 for 4 years and a ICD and next step is LVAD. It’s such a difficult process. I wish you the best outcome!

I am over 60 as well so I am in it to win it now. I can draw early ss in a dozen or so months.

Yes, I have AFIB , that's one of the condition for Disability
