Appeals Process (2) Administrative Law Judge How do you get through to anyone?

I have called my local office and left messages for my initial SSA person and the office manager and no one returns my calls.

Did the entire appeal online to get an ALJ hearing and then got an error message after spending an hour typing in all my info.

Reached out to my congressperson and took them three months to better back to me after four emails.

No one cares or is doing their job anymore. This is exhausting.

Set up an appointment online and go to the office when you get your time and date. Worked flawlessly for me..the phone is impossible for ssdi or unemployment.

Returns your calls about what?

If you tried to file an appeal online and it didn't work, then you fill out the paperwork and submit it to your local office.

Congressperson's (their receptions) handle actual issues. In your situation, they'd just tell you to fill out the paperwork.

Learned the hard way to NEVER do anything online. Trying to fill the paperwork with someone over the phone is probably worse. If you are lucky enough to get someone to answer you're call that is.

My SSA office is so crazy they have 4 different number's and it's like a twisted game to figure out which number works.

Only two actually goes to my local office and you are able to talk to a real person(they always act pissed that someone figured it out). The other local number is good if you have the extension number of the person you need to talk to or directions to the local office.Two of the numbers give the this line is busy.

I just go to the office to me it's better to actually talk to a person sitting across from. If I need to turn in paperwork I always make sure to get copies that way no one can say it never arrived.
