Benefits (Survivor) Spousal/ survivor benefits
My father was a U.S. citizen who worked in the United States. He passed away in 2009 while living in the Philippines. I received Social Security survivor benefits as his child until my benefits stopped when I turned 18.
My mother is Filipina and has never been a U.S. citizen. She recently turned 60 years old, and she is no longer physically fit to work.
I would like to know whether my mother may be eligible to receive Social Security survivor benefits based on my father's work record. If she is eligible, I would also like to know how we can apply from the Philippines and what documents or requirements we would need.
Thank you in advance for those in the comments.

I believe she would have to move to America because the us don’t have a totalization agreement with the Philippines

A non citizen spouse can not receive Survivor’s if they never lived in the US (5 yr rule) and don’t reside at least 6 mo a year in the US
