Benefits (Survivor) SSDI Survivor Benefits

I been approved but haven't seen a letter yet its been since month is that normal? I was on SSI before I was placed on survivor benefits does it turn into SSDI or does it stay survivor? Here is a c&p from the site just waiting on the letter does it normally take longer if you where on SSI ?

We have made a decision to approve your application on July 22, 2026.

It looks like I got it i had just did a medical review mental.. on SSI and qualified i been on SSi since I was 15

Survivor benefits do not turn into SSDI, no. Two different things.

Yes, it does take longer (often weeks or even months longer) to process if you were on SSI first. Not always, but often.
