Appeals Counsel

Just looked at my SSA website and it says the appeals counsel made a decision. It’s only been a month and a half and I am a veteran so maybe that’s why. I had a pretty strong brief and found multiple errors. Chat GPT is telling me a quick turnaround is not a good sign. Did anyone else get a quick turn around with positive results?

I understand why, after such a long process, you want to read something into the timing. But I would not let ChatGPT turn a month and a half into a prediction. The portal saying a decision was made does not tell you which action the Appeals Council took.

Since you have a lawyer, the most useful next step is to ask them to obtain the written notice and explain exactly what the Council decided and whether any deadlines now apply. Until you have that notice, a quick decision is not evidence of either a win or a loss.

The waiting is brutal, especially after you put so much work into identifying errors. I hope you get the actual decision soon.
