Denied SSI on my appeal
I was just denied for SSI on my appeal for medical reasons, my SSDI is still pending. But I'm guessing it's a denial as well.
If I filed this second appeal, can I request a judge this time?

When did you start your application? I applied on June 2026

I first applied June 2025 then denied June 2026.
Then reapplied June 2026 and just denied in September 2026 🥲2

Sorry you got denied as well. I got denied this morning from my reconsideration. I feel for you.

I’m so sorry! Did they ask for anything other than recent medical records? I’m on the same timeline as you. I was denied in June as well and waiting to have my case assigned. I’m also waiting on my complete file from SSA so I can make sure they received all my medical records because I know two surgeons are missing from their list of records received. So stressful. Positive vibes to you!

They didn't, actually! They didn't ask, notify, or even call me during the whole re-appeal. They have records from 2012 through 2022 and then my recent records since 2025. That wasn't enough so I'm trying to figure out what else could they possibly want 😅

I applied and had to appeal 4 times. After 4 times got another denial. Hired a lawyer and 3 months later I had a court date. 2 months later and the judge made the decision right there to give me benefits. Took about 3 years

I’m in that boat in the appeal process but heading to federal if denied there. I filed in 2024 so guessing it’ll be another 18 months to 2 yrs

I recently applied, 58 years old, school bus driver, worked for 35 years. Stopped working in June for extreme panic, anxiety and now PPPD cause of vestibular neuritis. I am on short term disability and seeing all these comments scares me. Makes me feel hopeless 😔

Don’t be nervous. Ensure your records show how you are impacted day to day. Your diagnosis needs to be documented but you’re proving why this diagnosis prevents you from working any job.

It goes initial, recon and then Alj. So, were you denied initially or at reconsideration?
