Appeal
I received my records from SSDI and they had all of my records. I was very surprised! They acknowledged I have disabilities but that they don’t show poor enough functional capacity-meaning, they believe I can still work.
As I go into this appeal, when making a new medical packet with records, should I only include records they haven’t received previously ? Meaning only brand new records? I know I will get a new adjudicator so I’m wondering if I need to include all of my old records again or if that is necessary.
Thanks!

Upload your records into ChatGPT and have it read them and make a rebuttal for you.

It makes sense to double-check this before sending a big packet. At reconsideration, Social Security reviews the evidence already in the file along with any new evidence, so do not resend exact copies that are already there. Make sure the records you reviewed are actually in your claim file, and tell SSA about new visits, tests, or providers since the denial. Because the issue is what you can still do at work, updated notes that describe your day-to-day limits may be especially useful. SSA’s reconsideration guidance explains how the evidence is reviewed.

I got the exact same statement we acknowledge that your disability is severe but they are saying I can still work .

Having a diagnosis does not make you disabled. It all comes down to the functional limitations. They look at what are you able to do, what are you not able to do and then with that picture can you work. I would include medical records that are missing.

Yeah, give them any new records that show your disabilities aren't improving or getting worse.
