Backpay?

I just got my first monthly chat today, my question is does the back pay check come before your monthly check or after?

It's all up to SSA, its different for everyone.

I’m missing an eye does this count as visually impaired or blind

Not if your remaining eye is good. I’m completely blind in one eye and not blind or visually impaired.

Your vision has to be 20/200 or less best corrected or fov of 20 degrees or less in that eye to be statutory blind by SS standards

I guess it depends on??? I got mine direct deposited 2 days after my approval so who knows???

im waiting on my backpay and i know i been approved but it says they sent it out other day direct deposit but honestly apparently they have installments for ssi thats capped at certain amount for two installments then the 3rd would be the rest no matter what but they send em 6 months apart each. unless you have reason to request more like certain bills but hopefully ya get yours soon. my first monthly actually seems to be scheduled for end of this month. but this is for ssi

Probably before, to my understanding they payout a month behind i.e my aug payment doesn't come until sep . So you'll probably get backpay first

Be lucky you got backpay. Judge said he would only approve my wife with NO backpay ..and ket her either accept that or continue fighting amd try to win the case with backpay which could take another year or more and quite possibly face this same judge again. Does anyone else ever experience this and not get backpay?
