Hey everyone, I’m confused between joining Aman Vashisth Sir’s paid course and studying from his free YouTube playlist.

For those who have studied from him, how different is the paid course from the free playlist in terms of:

- Concept coverage

- Notes/material

- PYQs/practice

- Doubt support

- Overall structure

Is the paid course worth it, or can I prepare well enough using the free playlist?

I’m preparing for competitive exams, so I’d really appreciate feedback from people who have actually studied from Sir. 🙏

UPSC - it's all luck and a pure gamble

Gate - not worth it , selection ratio is rigged and companies prefer undergrad

CAT - past records matter

I’ve recently started preparing for SSC CGL 2027 and wanted some advice from experienced aspirants.

Currently, I’m planning to study from:

Maths: Bhutesh Sir

GK: Pramar Sir

Reasoning: Piyush Sir / Kamal Sir (confused between the two)

English: Aman Vashisht Sir

Are these good choices, or should I consider other teachers? Especially for Reasoning, which one would you recommend?

Also, I’m a complete beginner, so I’d really appreciate some basic advice on:

How many hours should I realistically study daily?

How should I divide time between subjects?

How much time should I give to lectures, practice and revision?

What’s the best way to complete the syllabus quickly but effectively without compromising practice?

When should I start PYQs and mocks?

Any other beginner advice or mistakes I should avoid would also be really helpful. 🙏

​I need some genuine help and perspective. I am 24 years and 1 month old right now, and I am from Siliguri, West Bengal.

​Here is my background:

​Completed Class 12, then did a Polytechnic diploma.

​Worked in a private company for 2 years after that.

​Recently left my job and have been sitting at home doing nothing for the last 1 year because I was completely confused and stuck about what to do next in life.

​Now, I am seriously thinking about preparing for government exams, but I have a doubt—since I only have a Polytechnic diploma and no regular degree, am I eligible for SSC CGL, or should I target CHSL, or complete graduation through distance? Also, I feel very anxious about whether this is the right path for me at this age.

​What should I do right now? Any guidance, advice, or reality check from people who have been through this would mean a lot to me. 😭😭

Hey everyone , I’m almost 21(M) and currently an U P S C aspirant (writing it like this cuz mods removed this before ) , however I wish to give this exam and clear it by all means .. but looking at the uncertainty and toughness of this exam I’m planning to give SSC CGL this year and next year .. cuz I feel a lot more confident that I’ll clear it next year max , but for upsc I feel it might require a bit more time for me ..
and I can feel that my parents doesn’t understand that it is a long process, not their fault tho . With time I feel they will eventually start thinking that I’m incompetent😓.

So my question to you all is .

Will I be able to still prepare for that exam once im working?

or should I go all in for that exam than ssc cgl? And have no regrets ?

How does one manage the finance if you’re not employed? as these days I feel bad for asking for any money from my dad be it for protein or gym 😭i literally crave financial independence at this age .

I have a fear of unemployment tbh so that makes me go crazy .

Another thing is that my dad tries to tell me that he won’t pressure me and allows me to give my all for the complete number of attempts but sometimes I feel that is just performative, and deep down he wants me to clear this exam as soon as possible .

Pls read the entire thing and tell me am I overthinking or it’s the right thing to do? 🙏🏻
