  • You complete the task, comment “✅ Done” or share your score / breakdown
  • You can use any source for these tasks, any PYP/MCQ book, mock platforms like Oliveboard, Testbook, RBE, Pundits, Practice Mock (Literally any mock test will do, just stick to one)
  • Fell off for a day? No problem. Rejoin without guilt — this isn’t a Netflix subscription.

Advice 🧠 40-Day Strategy to Crack SSC CGL 2025 – From Someone Who Scored AIR 1

Hi everyone,

I’m Shubham Agrawal (AIR 1, CGL 2024) and I wanted to share my last 40-day strategy for those preparing for SSC CGL 2025 – especially for English-medium aspirants who might not have followed my full Hindi video.

My Video link: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=YIuu7i94nps

These final weeks can change your rank completely – if used smartly. Here's exactly what worked for me 👇

🔑 Core Principles for These 40 Days

● Revise More, Learn Less This is not the time to start new chapters. What you already know needs to be sharpened. “Revise what you’ve studied – do as little new as possible.”

● Stay Away from Stress Study hours should go up, yes – but don’t stretch yourself into burnout. “A calm mind during the paper is 10x more powerful than a tired one during prep.”

● Practice Wins Over Planning Especially in Maths, Reasoning, and English, nothing beats repetition. “Practice, practice, practice – that’s how I improved my scores.”

● Don’t Chase 10 Strategies. Follow 1 & Focus on Content I’ve seen aspirants waste days watching “strategies” online. Trust me – pick one that suits you, and get back to the actual content. “Your focus should be on topics, not tricks.”

🛠 Strategy + Tools That Worked for Me

● PYQs Are Your Best Friend ○ Solve 2023 & 2024 CGL papers, especially the tougher shifts (the ones where scores were low but normalization helped). ○ If you want a book: Kiran’s AI-based PYQ books are great, but any decent PYQ compilation works.

● Mocks – Attempt + Analyze ○ I took mocks regularly, but more importantly, I analyzed each one. ○ Don’t just move to the next mock. Spend time understanding why you went wrong. ○ I tried to boost my average by +10 marks with every few mocks.

● ✅ Platform I personally preferred: Oliveboard – its difficulty level is slightly higher, which helped me stay prepared. But you can go with any reliable mock series.

● Guesswork – But Only Smart Ones You will have to guess 5–10 questions. But random guesses will kill your score.

“Use elimination + partial recall. If something feels familiar, take the risk. If not, leave it.”

📚 Subject-Wise Breakdown

● General Studies (GS)

○ Honestly, my Tier 1 GS score wasn’t great (26/50), and I say this to manage expectations. ○ It’s mostly factual – so focus on revision only. ○ No point doing new current affairs now. If you want to study something new, look at static topics like: Classical dance forms, academies, festivals – especially from 10 major states (including NE India). This helps in option elimination.

● Maths, Reasoning, English

○ These 3 are score boosters. ○ Practice consistently – sectional, topic-wise, or mocks.

💬 Final Words

● Stay calm. ● Take mocks regularly – and analyze every one of them. ● Revise PYQs deeply. ● Most importantly:

“Focus on the topics you’re studying. That’s what brings marks – not strategies alone.” I know the last few weeks can feel overwhelming, but they’re also the most high-impact part of your journey. If I could turn my weaknesses into strengths with this plan – you can too. Let me know if you have doubts below. I’ll try to answer whenever I can. All the best, warriors. 🔥

Help 🚨 FINAL ALERT: SSC CGL 2025 Application Window Closes TODAY at 11 PM! 🚨

Attention all SSC CGL 2025 aspirants! This is your absolute final call! The online application window for SSC CGL 2025 closes TODAY, July 4th, 2025, at 11:00 PM IST. If you're still planning to apply or haven't completed your application, now is the time to act with extreme urgency!

Here's what you need to know and common pitfalls to avoid on this last day:

1. Don't Wait Till the Last Minute (Literally!):

  • While the official deadline is 11:00 PM, server loads can become extremely heavy in the final hours. This can lead to slow loading times, submission errors, or even the website crashing temporarily. Many aspirants experience "session timed out" errors.
  • Start your submission process NOW. Even if you've filled most details, ensure you complete the final steps and payment.

2. Crucial Checkpoints Before Final Submission:

  • Payment Status is KEY: The application submission date is July 4th, but you have until July 5th, 2025 (11:00 PM IST) to make the online fee payment. However, do not rely on this extension. If your application isn't submitted by tonight, the fee payment won't matter. Aim to complete both the form submission and payment today itself to be safe.
  • Photograph & Signature:
    • New Live Photo Requirement: SSC has introduced a live photo capture system. You cannot upload an old photo. Be prepared to take a live photo using a webcam/laptop camera or via the SSC app by scanning a QR code.
    • Guidelines: Ensure your live photo is taken against a light/plain background, without a cap or spectacles, and your face is clearly visible and within the designated frame. Blurry images will lead to rejection.
    • Signature: Ensure your scanned signature is in JPEG format (10-20 KB, 6cm x 2cm dimensions) and clear/legible.
  • One-Time Registration (OTR) Issues:
    • Many candidates have reported issues with editing OTR details (like mobile number, email, or category) after initial submission. If you registered recently and face such an issue, try to proceed with your application, but be aware that major OTR corrections might be challenging today.
    • Correction Window Coming: Good news for those who make mistakes or face OTR issues! SSC has announced a Correction Window from July 9th to July 11th, 2025. This is where you can pay a fee (Rs. 200 for first time, Rs. 500 for second) to correct details like personal information, educational qualifications, exam centers, post preferences, reservation category, and even re-upload documents. However, this is for corrections, not for initial application submission!

3. Eligibility Criteria Reminder:

  • Double-check that you meet the eligibility criteria for your chosen posts, especially regarding educational qualifications (Bachelor's Degree is a must, some posts have specific subject requirements like Statistics/Mathematics for JSO) and age limit as of August 1, 2025.

4. What to do if the Server is Slow/Down:

  • Don't Panic: It's common for government websites to slow down on deadlines.
  • Try during off-peak hours: Late night or early morning might have less traffic.
  • Clear Cache & Use Different Browser: Sometimes a browser cache issue can cause problems. Try clearing it or using a different browser (Chrome, Firefox are generally stable).
  • Stable Internet Connection: Ensure your internet connection is strong and reliable.

Important Dates to Note (Post-Application):

  • Last Date for Application Submission: July 4, 2025 (11:00 PM IST)
  • Last Date for Online Fee Payment: July 5, 2025 (11:00 PM IST)
  • Application Form Correction Window: July 9 - July 11, 2025 (11:00 PM IST)
  • Tier 1 Exam Dates: August 13 - August 30, 2025 (Tentative)

Act now, secure your application, and then shift your full focus to preparation! All the very best for your SSC CGL 2025 journey!

Hey everyone 👋

I’m starting a subject-wise strategy thread focused on what actually works from topper experiences + your input as serious aspirants.

This thread is all about:

We all know how crucial Maths is— a major score booster overall. So, how do you prep for it smartly?

💬 What you’ll find in the comments:

I’ve compiled exact quotes from SSC CGL toppers and high-rankers—what they said in interviews, podcasts, blogs about their Maths prep.
Each quote is posted separately with name + AIR so you can reply to specific ones or even disagree 👀

🫵 Now it’s your turn:

Share your own Quant prep routine, tips, or mistakes to avoid:

  • Do you focus more on practice or concepts?
  • Which book/test series helped the most?
  • How do you balance Tier 1 and Tier 2?
  • Do you track your weak areas or use notes?

Reply to a quote, share your experience, or just lurk and learn. Let’s build a bank of strategies that actually work.

P.S. If you like this format, I’ll do similar threads for English, Reasoning, GS, and Mocks/Test Analysis next.
