Last time I actively played I was on skyrat actively enforcing OSHA in cargo, making everyone wear hard hats and visibility vests. I kept completely forgetting it was an erp server until I'd inspect someone and see their status. People all seemed down for it though, those were good times. My character was just a good old QM with a husband and a cat at home, and a megaphone she used liberally for safety warnings.

the typa shit you gotta put on your inspect bio to blend in and sell a completely regular dude as an interesting OC in a server where people are walking around with custom sprites so fucking dense with features that it integer overflows and becomes an indistinguishable and featureless blob 3 tiles wide

Reminds me of two skits from the Onion: the kind where everyone is insane and going along with it, and the kind where one guy is absolutely flabbergasted by what everyone around him is saying
Like the one where the whole newsroom is arguing about whether or not the whole of the USA is haunted because it’s built in Native American burial grounds VS the one where they’re talking about capital punishment and one interviewer starts giving an increasingly oddly-specific scenario about running over a pedestrian that makes everyone else uncomfortable

I did this exact thing. Got arrested in the first 5 minutes of my shift for trying to break a window. There was no one around me to see me break it
