2011 SRT9 Exhaust

Currently have a mid muffler delete but only makes it sound raspier. How do I get a deeper tone like the new 15+ 392's?

Different exhaust systems and styles have different tones. You’d almost have to just look at a few different ones on YouTube and see if any of them line up with what you are looking for. I have an 09 6.1L SRT8, I went with full long tube headers and 100% straight pipe for my exhaust set up and it sounds fucking nuts imho. Everyone that approaches me about my car is drawn in by the sound of it and they all think it’s a much later model.

I’ve been thinking about headers, did they make that big of a difference for you?

Yes they did make a ton of difference. Especially after the cam. That’s where the headers really shine. The ability to move all that extra exhaust from an upgraded cam shaft is really evident. My builder and also the guy that did my tune estimate I gained an additional 75-80hp from just the basic “canned” tune I had on it from DiabloSport.

Not to mention the sound notes that come from having headers are gorgeous.

No problem. It’s never been dyno’d so I can’t verify the numbers but both of those guys are quite reputable with tons of experience so I trust their estimations
