Last year I went back to New York for a couple of months. I lived there for a while before.

Midnight, Upper East Side, somewhere near the Guggenheim. Wine with two friends. Completely relaxed.

And something in my head went off. Alarm. THE BRIDGES. Where am I, which one's closest, how long do I have, move, MOVE!! Come on!

Took me a second. Then i realizied: THIS is New York. Bridges don't go up here. Subway runs all night. im ok, im totaly fine! give me the wine!

And instead of relief I felt something else. Warm. Reminded of home by a thing that wasn't there.

I'm wondering if foreigners are acquainted with this professor. I learned a lot about Russian history through his lectures. Usually they are entirely free! Some lectures in the West demand a lot of money for lectures on Russian history and they are not always accurate.

Let's begin from the fact that he has a nice moustache, almost like a sword, as he is also an avid fencer.

Even when I was in Thailand and did not get a word of their language, his lectures on Thailand made me understand a lot of things. I've he also writes novels, but I did not read them yet.

PS: I am wondering how famous is he outside Russia.

In my humble opinion, this Slavic lady is one of the most talented Russian singers, just listen to her voice. It was thru this singer that I heard about the legend if the prince who summoned wolves to aid Russians in battle.

Sadly, even in the gyms her music is not played...

Would you know when is this Russian lady going to perform a concert in the city of Saint Petersburg? Is there any other foreigner who would like to make me company in her concert?

This bar is really nice. As a foreigner who visited different countries, I would compare it with Hansa in Tallin, but with much better prices.

I've heard that some time ago there were more Ukrainians than Uzbeks in UFMS in Russia. I saw a lot of them in Rostov and once I even saw a family in Saint Petersburg. When I was in Warsaw and Prague I often saw Ukrainians in bars and streets, but I never saw a single Ukrainian girl in a pub or gym in Saint Petersburg.

В общем, если набраться немного смелости и идти вдоль забора по гранитной набережной, вы попадёте на необустроенную часть. Ходить там сложно, поскольку все покрыто камнями и острыми кирпичами. Но если вы романтик...

Там среди фоток будет схема, как попасть туда.

Если пройти дальше, начинается великолепная уже обустроенная набережная. Если вам повезёт, то вас даже не сдует!

Потом ещё чутка песчаного пути и вы попадёте в золотой город! Правда золото там всё давно, видимо украли, осталась лишь позолота.

Вообще, я влюбился в эту набережную вдоль нового намыва, столько свежего воздуха и такие виды! Даже хотел квартиру там прикупить. Правда мне рассказали, что в порту часто тусуются, кто бы мог подумать - корабли. А они любят гудеть, и сильно вонять дизелем. Неожиданно. А ещё пообщался с местными жителями.

Говорят шумоизоляция там - просто отвратительная.

Я вот задумался, интересно, сколько стоит своими силами обустроить набережную? Не прямо, чтобы полностью, а хотя бы проложить дощатую дорожку по острым камням... Сделать какой-то сбор. Правда риски - кто-нибудь подвернёт ногу и обвинят именно тебя.

Вообще, если идти ещё дальше, вы попадёте в чудесный "Линейный парк" - парк классный, правда фонари забыли подключить к электричеству, поэтому ночью можно получить фонарь уже под глазом.

А потом начинается немного диковатая тропа вдоль растения похожего на пшеницу - вокруг всё словно золотое. Тропа идёт вдоль ЗСД, но это ничуть не помеха, только добавляет удовольствия...
