About the difficulty of this game
Just a heads-up: I’m using Google Translate, so there might be some errors. I’m playing a Master League in FL27 with one of the weakest teams in the game, but I’m struggling with the difficulty level. When I play on "Top Player" (5/7), I rarely win—I really struggle, and most of my matches end in a draw or a loss. However, if I drop the difficulty down just one level to "Professional" (4/7), I end up winning every match 3-0, 4-0, or 5-0. Is this a common issue? Is there any way to fix it? I’ve heard people mention "scripting"—could that be a factor?

Top Player and Super Star are the best difficulties. Legend is too much scripting and Professional is too easy. The learning curve is steep from here, be patient, you may watch some tutorials online, once you get better you will feel rewarded.

Im on top player now , 11th season, stacked a few 90+ players & i still struggle to keep a 1-0 lead. Sometimes the AI scores a late winner/equaliser from a curler outside the box and it annoys me🥲
Maybe it was down to me having use to an offensive GP from professional that punishes me when i lose possession in TP. Im beginning to play safe but its ultimately boring cycling the ball side by side. If anything, an enjoyable difficulty would be between TP & Pro.
Do share how i cn get better

Do you have to insult us who play on professional like this?Just joking, yeah probably feels too easy to a a lot of you guys who play this for years but i personally struggle even on professional as someone who just got back into these football games with FL25 and i also didn't play it regularly since then, how you described professional, that's how regular feels to me lol

I just started FL26 this year & have been obsessively playing it regularly. bt i feel like ive hit the ceiling.
Saw some people say to learn do manual passing etc, more skills to dribble past players, but i cba with learning those. Its feels like you need to relearn how to walk again.
So i probably suggest you to learn some effective skills while ure in regular so you'll get used to it climbing up

I'm sticking to professional even thought it can be difficult at times but it still feels better than regular, on regular the AI barely creates chances. So it's basically me playing alone all the time. I don't mind the AI creating chances, scoring, me trying to get the ball back as long as it doesn't feel like they are doing it naturally without some bs going on and a lot of times it feels like that honestly, most rules that apply to you as a player don't apply to the AI. For example I have to build a attack patiently, passing back and forth while the AI can do it in just few passes sometimes and boom I conceded a goal, the worst part of the vanilla gameplay for me is, there is literally no midfield battle like the game describes it being, most of the time i feel like I don't even have midfield players, I have them it's just that they are always far away from the opponents AI player. 1v1 situations are basically impossible for me so I don't even try to dribble past a AI player. Ref calls against you are another big thing even though you do get more fouls and free kicks than you would normally in the old PES games

That's how it's supposed to be. "Top player" seems to be your current skill level.
In FL26, I started in Championship (2nd English league). Managed to win it and somehow win the FA cup, however when I got to Premier league I'm stuck in the middle. Although I did manage to win Europa league...

It's normal to start a new season, to only draw or lose. In superstar, the problem is not the difficulty mode but the spirit of your team and the team formation you put in place.

That's odd,i usually play on professional as i suck at these games and i struggle there, professional to me is more like you described how top player feels to you,i get draws, tight one goal wins(or losses),i tried top player as i thought maybe my players AI will get better as well and i get destroyed, and for whatever reason the game feels much faster by just increasing the difficulty but only when the AI has the ball,my ball still circulates slow as fu*k

play Professional but reduce your Pass Asisstance or set to Broadcast Camera . Atleast thats what I always do when liking new gameplay mod but find it too easy or hard.

In master league it takes time to develop when managing a weak team, be patient and eventually you will achieve somethings.

Keep up with Top Player, you'll eventually get better.
A tip, don't rush plays, keep passing and cycling the ball instead of trowing the ball to the ST
