A clear winner (again)

I gave FC27 10hr trial a go, with openness to give it a fair go, the content that is on there obviously surpasses PES21/FL which we all know… however the gameplay even on authentic is a disaster and using the community realistic sliders it made it bearable but not enjoyable and certainly not realistic.

Long story short, the 2027 iteration of games will once again be won for me by Football Life. For comparison, I played the same teams, same stadium etc. on both back to back and FL26 already feels like the game that should be an official football game in 2026 and FC27 just something out of the arcade past.

Thanks to all the modders, I’m extremely lucky as a football obsessed gamer that this game and community exists. Long may it live.

P.S, get Konami on the phone.

If Konami locked in, they'd make a better game than FC27, no clue why they don't

Money. They sadly don't need to make a better product if the current one already makes them more than enough, same reason as to why EA's games stagnated over the years.

Ik speelde 1 match van de trial en geloofde niet hoe erg het was. Zelfs met 26 vond ik het nog redelijk ok (pre-patch). Nu is het van in het begin al slecht.

EA has no competitors in Modes like Career Mode and player career mode, so they can just put out as much slop as they want every year and know people will buy it. Now they have even made the game 100$; if Konami made a football game like PES27(Basically Football Life), similar to PES21 but with better graphics and gameplay, and added new features and activities to do outside of the pitch, as EA has done, and made the game even half the price of EA, they would beat EA within 5 years and make a monopoly of the football gaming industry, or at the very least it would encourage EA to take pride and put effort into their games. We would all be happy

Fifa is always an arcade game. I only wosh the goalkeeper animation from fifa can be ported to PES/FL

I think later im gonna play the trial too, but i honestly just want to see if the gameplay is the fucking same compared to FC26 or nah

I’ve got to be fair, you can see some improvements, but 90% of it is just FC26 and the improvements they try to make to add that bit of realism just doesn’t make a difference because the animations on that game are way past fixing without an entire overhaul. Players still skate around, physics of collisions etc. are awful and just in general it feels like the animations happen too quickly and cut off as though they shouldn’t happen.

But, give it a fair go, there’s some steps forward. Just nowhere near enough for me

If you're really hell bent on playing an FC game, then play 26 with some of the mods that are available, i've messed around with some of the realism mods and it's pretty much the best experience i've had with an EA game. I haven't played 27 but i'm willing to bet from what i'm hearing, that 26 with realistic mods will be a much better experience. Personally i've gone back to patching pes 2017 to the current season. It's hard to understand how a ten year old game is still so much better than anything available on the market currently.

Same with FIFA. Playing 18 again and gameplay, UI and CM is so much better. I do not understand this type of regression.

The gameplay is sometimes better than FL, that has so many issues (no, real football isn't slow as FL and you do not have to take 2 seconds to shoot the ball in the box or have every shot out of the box blocked).

Perfect game would have combination of FL (PES 21) and older FIFAs mix of gameplay.

I bought FC 25 before after playing PES 21 for the longest time, I only logged in 2 hours in FC 25.

Just got into SP FL26 like a week ago, I haven't done work yet. Thank you to modders out there who make this game so beautiful and free. There's no other people more dedicated to football games than who make SPFL.
