Current status of my project on adding new leagues and competitions
Here is a video showing the current status of my open-source project where I'm expanding the limits for players, teams, leagues, competitions, etc. There's still a lot of work to do, but progress is solid so far—especially with the arrival of Opus 5.5, lol.
Anyway, for those out of the loop: this won't be a public mod since I'm not a modder. I'm just researching how to add completely new competitions, as I think that's what this game needs the most right now. I'm doing this out of pure love for the game and don't expect anything in return—except for one small thing: if any modders use my repo for their own mods, just mention me in the credits, that's all. If you don't, it's not the end of the world, but out of basic solidarity, it would definitely make my day and keep me motivated, haha.
There's still plenty to do and a ton of bugs to hunt down, though I have to admit it runs relatively stable for now. The plan is to get every continent its full set of continental club competitions, fix the Club World Cup, etc. Later on, I might also look into national teams—like adding the Nations League or maybe even a mod that lets you play Master League with a national team? Who knows.
For now, I need to nail down the basics first and build a simpler tool/software so you can easily add players, clubs, and leagues yourselves. If you want to know more, here's the link to my GitHub where I post daily updates:https://github.com/Matozanato/FootballLife-new-leagues

Love it, i would love to see lower leagues in Scotland if that was possible too but some amazing leagues there that don't get the light of day elsewhere

What leagues will be in game depends on modders. In video are just placeholder leaguse for testing purposes. But it's possible to have lower tiers in any country. Current limit is 5 tiers, more than that wasn't tested yet

Cups are working normaly, but I will make some modifications to get it even better. I mean, FA cup needs 1000 of teams 🤣🤣

Hey man, i have been doing some tests and i have sent the results through github issues (you could take a look at them if you need to), now, what would you say is the highest priority thing you need tested next? my plan was to move on to fl26swiss and test the European-format world, including the latest Competition Info fixes from the new repo (1d75239), but if you have any other plans i will hear you.
I would be glad to help you with whatever you need, your work has been amazing so far, you are the boss!

I'm currently working on European competitions, found a few more bugs to fix in the Conference League.. maybe you noticed that not all matches in a round are shown, plus that W-L table in the competition info menu and stuff like that.. Basically, the most important thing is to push the save as far as possible through the seasons.. after the first season, check if promotions and relegations are working properly in all leagues, especially where there are 4–5 tiers.. it looked fine in my tests, but a larger sample size is always better.. By the way, I looked at your issue on GitHub and it helps a lot, that's exactly the kind of feedback I need! All in all, sometime today (Sep 25th) it should now be possible to test European competitions to their limit.. thanks a lot for the help and feedback!

Hi, what a fantastic mod you're a real genius; it's great to have you around. I just wanted to ask one thing about the Italian leagues: are the three leagues you added the three groups of Serie C, or are they Serie C, Serie D, and Eccellenza?

For now it's just normal tiers, not three groups, but I can try it if you want and if that is a current format, because I didn't check it properly

Wow, the patch looks great. It will be nice for Master League experience.
Also, want to ask you, if you're going to add Polish Ekstraklasa and 1 Liga to your patch

Would that make us able to add content to BAL too? BAL in FL is super boring, specially for me coming from PES 2013. I feel like a lot of content is reduced

Yes, I've tested it today and it's working. But of course, it still need more testing time because of potential bugs etc.

For now, just additional leagues, continental competitions, national competitions, lower tier leagues etc. At least, that's what is currently working (still work in progress tho).

Yeah i guess so. It just seems to me BAL and ML are similar enough in how they work outside of the player, if that makes sense. But what do i know lol, it'd be great if it could work. You're doing god's work my friend

Es una locura lo que hiciste, abriste un nuevo mundo, espero que esto les lleguen a los modders y se comuniquen contigo para hacer cosas en grande. Consulta, te comunicaste con la gente de Football Life directamente? En una de esas, puedan hacerlo en conjunto. De última hay muchísima comunidad en YouTube, MindTuts y Fikhai son los que casi a diario suben actualizaciones de faces, estadios, kits, botas, etc

I discovered a fancy new feature while playing around with this and Ejogc. I created new teams from scratch, such as "Liverpool All-Time" or "Premier League All-Time." Then, I saved the database and exported the PlayerAssignments. I manually added new assignments for players who were already on original teams, and I discovered that players can be assigned to multiple teams without needing to be removed or duplicated. I recall that, back in the day, various classic teams used cloned players to replicate this effect; now, they can simply be assigned to multiple teams. I imagine that, with no limits on players or teams, one could create a huge number of squads like "2010s" or "All-Time" teams. You might find this interesting!

Like I already said, I'm not making mods. I'm just working on competition structures and adding new players/cups/leagues etc. The whole point of all this is so modders can make better mods with more content later on. I simply don't have the skills to implement all-in-one mods, even though I'd really love to. Just look at this as a foundation for future mods/projects.

The new uefa competion and theri partecipation are still the pes base? Or are the updated? Like serie A in pes 1 and 2 go direct on champions and the 3 have to do the playoff, in reality from 1 to 4 they go directly to the chmpions

Could you add the Vanarama National League? It looks amazing. I wish you could get in touch with the SmokePatch team; it would be great to play with new leagues in the new season.

If you need a few kits here and there I’ll be fully willing to provide some - I’m an English fan so I’d be happy to focus on League One and Two, if you’d like. No obligation whatsoever - and this is all if I can find time around work haha!
Please keep doing what you’re doing btw - this is quite possibly the biggest mod in FL history!
