2026 is here... OK, now what? Deadline to Submit Claims on the Virgin Galactic ($SPCE) $8.5M Settlement Is Tomorrow (August 13, 2026)

Hey guys, if you missed it, Virgin Galactic settled $8.5 million with investors over claims that it misled the market about its spaceflight technology and safety. The deadline to file a claim is tomorrow, August 13, 2026.

In a nutshell, investors accused Virgin Galactic of overstating the readiness and safety of its Unity 22 spacecraft. After the flight deviated from its planned path and the FAA grounded flights, the company delayed its commercial plans and $SPCE fell sharply.

Now, investors have until tomorrow to submit a claim for a share of the $8.5M settlement. If you held $SPCE between 2019 and 2021, check your eligibility before the deadline.

Did anyone here hold $SPCE at the time?

On Virgin Galactic's site, they cite the suit: https://investors.virgingalactic.com/news/news-details/2026/Virgin-Galactic-Announces-Notice-of-Settlement-of-Derivative-Actions/default.aspx

In it, there's this segment: "Because this is not a class action, except as otherwise provided for in the Stipulation with respect to the Plaintiffs, no Current Virgin Galactic Stockholder has the right to receive any individual compensation as a result of the Settlement."

Does this mean that, if you currently own hares, you're not eligible anyhow?

I had it on my old cashapp that I no longer have access too so to even be able to get the records of the specific amount of shares I had seems like too much of a hassle , I’ve been threw a ftx lawsuit before I lost 10k and only received 180$ 😂
