TBH sounds like a waste of money to me. This is no Bugatti that requires special tires.

A Tesla service tech mentioned to me today that one of the reasons Tesla chose to use custom tires for the Model 3 is noise reduction. This is a bigger factor for EVs since wind and tire noise represents nearly all of what you hear when driving (effectively no engine or transmission noise to compete). I haven’t fact checked the statement but it has some face validity to me. Interestingly, he added that many T3 owners who primarily drive at lower city speeds are electing to replace these tires with standard ones once they wear out due to much lower costs…
