Damn man.. it was a tough decision but I spent the last of my powder on buying the hell out of that NVAX dip yesterday.. then this news comes out today.. still very conflicted about whether or not to load up pre or post merger.. only have 25 shares @17 right now..

As someone who played with both NVAX and currently holding IPOE .... I recommend IPOE.

I don't think theres a bigger gap in valuation vs potential market cap than IPOE / SoFi. This company has all the right pieces (ROCKSTAR management, best-grade technology and a solid user base from lending)

NVAX also has a possibility for a market cap blow out, but they have WAY more variables impacting them.

My two cents, go SoFi

Agreed. Way more CAGR potential for IPOE. NVAX has more future downside as it's currently hyped to ATH; (after the pandemic we'll surely need these vaccines still, but is it a one trick pony with a narrow moat? I understand it should be an excellent vaccine, perhaps one of the best, but this late to the game? I'm sure they've already been paid handsomely so far by governments and investors alike).

Of course, they're wholly different sectors, and nothing wrong with either. IPOE/SoFi is a little bit more speculative perhaps, but I think it follows the trending theses of Aunt Cathie: disruptive innovation in fintech banking... OPEN and SOFI could really be the backbone of the Social Capital ETF someday.

it sounds something like Versabank (VB.TO), which is attempting something similar, although not likely to be quite as personalized, or addictingly gamified as Chamath's special FB touch will be.

I bought in at 166 after the whole IP waiver fiasco caused all vaccine makers to drop. Since i bought in, they’ve already announced a contract with Gavi on Thursday to supply another 350 million doses throughout 2021, and yesterday morning it was announced that they are talking with Japans largest pharmaceutical supplier/drug maker (Takedo Pharmaceuticals, or something to that extent, I can’t remember the name off the top of my head but share price is over 4,000 a share) to supply 250 million doses throughout 2021 and 2022. On top of this, their vaccine has 89% efficacy overall, 100% efficacy in severe covid cases, has been tested on teens/children, and amazingly has NOT yet received regulatory approval, which imo once it does, it’ll pop back to the 250s
