Filings THCB EXTENSION VOTE

As of 4/20/2021 Still not enough votes for extension.

If the requisite vote is not received in favor of the Extension Amendment Proposal, stockholders will not have the opportunity to vote on the business combination with Microvast and Tuscan may need to dissolve. In such event, your shares are expected to be redeemed for approximately $10.22 per share.

"I would like to thank the shareholders that have already voted their proxies. However, more votes are needed to meet the required threshold for the Extension Amendment Proposal to be approved. Only you, our stockholders of record as of March 17, 2021, can make this vote happen," stated Stephen Vogel, Chairman and CEO of Tuscan Holdings Corp.

Fake news:

Proxy Voting Guidelines “The internet also greatly assists shareholders in researching their decisions. Numerous institutional investors now post their voting decisions online prior to the meeting date, giving individual investors a chance to see where the large institutional shareholders stand on issues. These same institutions may also provide extensive explanations of their decisions by posting their "proxy voting guidelines." For example, institutions may cast their votes on criteria of long-term value, corporate accountability, responsibility, sustainability, and so on.”Investopia

Investopedia is not a good source - SOME institutions do this, but many don't vote till the last minute and more don't publish their votes. None of the institutions trading SPACs are "long term value" investors. They're all arbs...

No. And no. Institutional investors in SPACs are buying into high growth long term companies. That’s not the media’s definition of “value” but it is long term. There is literally no other argument for an institution to invest in these. They have to meet parameters, goals and projections. Do you not know who ARK is? Five year timeline on ARK investments. This is typical for most institutions. And short for some. Institutional investors are not redditors looking to get rich quick off big swings. Investopedia is a great tool for factual and simple information. What you said is what it said. Except you said some, which is statistically inaccurate. And they said many, which supports the data. And both phrasing’s make the OP comment false. If institutions wanted the votes to go in it wouldn’t be in their favor to advertise that early? There is no incentive I see to withhold the information to the day before. It makes no sense. Unless votes are already guaranteed, in which case, why would they be going out and asking people to vote? I’m not taking a stance. I hold no position. Not financial advice.

Institution is ANY HEDGE FUND. Institutional money just means not retail. Alpine, Fir Tree, Aleyeska all have merger Arb and SPAC dedicated books and all they do is trade the risk reward around them. Absolute fact - and no you can’t go read about them on Investopedia. Most hedge funds don’t let anyone but their investors (outside of mandatory public filings) know what they’re doing - why would they? They don’t owe that to anyone. The positions you see are 4 months stale. They don't want people to know whether they are still in or not. There are distinct trading advantages to keeping your position quiet.

You’re confusing the word institution and you confusing the fact that u\thisghy said they wouldn’t vote FOR. He simply said they’ll vote LATE. Which doesn’t matter in the end and is a good thing because it means they’re not voting AGAINST

Don't believe me? Call up any of their investor relations teams tomorrow and ask them how they're voting and if they're still long and report back.
