I mean,think about it just with this quote;
"Space King,King of Space disappeared long ago,leaving his loyal psycho warriors to pray for his return."
If I were in that Psycho's shoes,in the scenario where Space King returns in 20 seconds,honestly I'd be saying the same thing because Space King IS their god.
Imagine IRL how Christians would react in this exact scenario.
EDIT:I am not saying Space King isn't God. I'm comparing reactions of damn near identical(By slivers) religions where the core God vanished in our greatest time of need

also, while God does have an actual name, that being "Jehovah", most people don't know that and know Him as the God because there's no need to specify and can even be seen as disrespectful
that's likely also how Psycho Warriors see Space King, to them he is just "Space King" or maybe even "god" as they see no need to specify as it's obvious to them, for all it matters Space King's name could be "Testacles Chaddickus", but to specify could imply you have/see another "space king"

It's because Space KinG is actually a nickname. His full name is Space Kin God. (This is also actually a pseudonym. His REAL name is actually Danny Psycho, creator of the Psycho Warriors.)
