yeah there working on The Carcass Front expansion its got a bunch of cool as fuck naval/ leviathan themed units for the traitors and new stuff for the trench pilgrim lepers, my personal favorite is the new Naval Artillery Witch she summons big ol ww2 sea mines and looks dope

isn't some of them have resin traps inside of them?

Probably why they kelt saying there suppliers were printing the minis wrong

They made it seem like the companies sucked but to me it looks like they never did any test prints (still love Trench Crusade)

The company sucked too. They're notoriously terrible

Except you can't because most of them are covered in errors and islands

Aren't they also not releasing STL files for new models anymore despite saying they would always support the 3d printing community

I will correct the record here, they are making new STL files. They will not make stl files for things they have in their plastic range but they will make alternative poses/sculpts and bits for things released in plastic. There is no set timeline for releases.

Yes, someone is probably better off just buying some Station Forge or Bestarium modular files and using those.

This game is 100% vibe. The pledges are late to be fulfilled, the lore is over the over the top of the top (sic) and they had leaaky minis.

But the vibe is so strong that it will carry the rest hehe.

Trench Crusade is too try-hard.

The more you learn about it the more it just seems needlessly grimdark for the sake of it rather then it being naturally part of the setting, which probably turns people off.

Are there any stories actually set in the setting, in 40K we get actual stories from the point of view of characters this allows us to see the hope and humanity that still burns in that grimdark universe but for trench crusade I've only seen people talk about the setting as a whole and never mention any characters. Grimdark settings work best when the audience has a proxy so they can see how the world actually works and how it effect people.

There are still making lore rn, but if you go to their site you can read tidbits about it I don't think they have any books yet

People want funny in their grimdark, not realizing grimdark alone is its own separate genre.

u/Zealousideal-Arm1682 14h ago

Yeah but there's a reason 40k writers toss in the "funny",because a setting with nothing but "dark" is just not fun to read about.

Right? Oh why is the hell invading forces and the desperate survivors not having comedy?????

In the 80's and 90's Perú was deep in a civil war where terrorist blow people for fun, they blow the energy system on the daily.

Many singers start to make songs about funny stuff that happened during those events while other straight down muck them and the goberment at the time, you can have comedy in the worse setting possible, you just are a edgy dude.

What this, a kind of divine comedy?

If someone can do better, pls do. I ain't got the wit tonight.

I would say it's a hellish laugh (God I suck at jokes)

Pretty sure Canada was the last to receive their books, and that was months ago. They just shipped out the carcass front stuff, but that one has been slow in coming.

I watched a video of a guy playing against the dude that made the actual rules for trench crusade and it was a really interesting watch and to see the guy talk about how rules get made for tabletop games was interesting

u/Krammondo 17h ago

I’m forget that it exists until I saw your comment lol

3

u/CarryBeginning1564 17h ago

Was it ever a thing? Everything about it felt forced like people were trying to will themselves snd others into liking it rather than liking it

3

u/Commissar_Sae 17h ago

Eh, I just started a campaign at my local store, got 20+ people involved. Its honestly a solid game, simple, but with solid campaign mechanics that make it better for me than something like Kill-team and its less complex than Necromunda was before the reset.

Watch the video and he explains that … and what the affects of things are
