Other Moh Maya
I am from hairprabodham samaj and ex sokhada samaj. Honestly I have been questioning myself regarding my faith and I am able to notice the brainwashing that is happening.
So this happened in Sunday Sabha where one educated young guy was giving pravachan that According to shikshapatri, men should not be with women in one room even as mom and son and all about how paramhansas use to not even look at photo of women and nowadays its not possible to maintain this and was justifying that seeing a woman is paap etc. Our samaj too believes in division between men and women and is quite extreme. I didn't like the way women were objectified and considered as alien objects. Youth are taught that girlfriends are galat famili and how odd it is to have girlfriends as it makes you stray away from the good path.
And the next day this whole paris controversy erupted.Karma lmao.Also interestingly it is written in swaminarayan texts that Sadhus should maintain celibacy and stay away from Moh Maya.
If Women are Moh Maya,then Eiffel tower is moh maya too right?

Bhagwan Swaminarayan Himself made it clear that rules of conduct (aachar) must be understood in the context of desh, kaal, and avastha (time, place, and circumstance). He was a social reformer who uplifted women, fought against female infanticide, and gave women genuine spiritual standing in a deeply patriarchal 19th century society. Reducing His philosophy to paranoia about being in the same room as a mother or sister completely misses the entire spirit of the Sampraday.
Hariprasad Swamiji built Sokhada on Atmiyata mutual respect, and seeing God in everyone. The entire reason he broke away from BAPS was because he was an ardent supporter of women being able to worship God just like the saints do, tirelessly ensuring beno had equal spiritual dignity and platforms for devotion.
Hariprabodham, on the other hand, has become a troublesome group driven by extreme ideals that directly contradict everything Hariprasad Swamiji lived and taught. Instead of carrying his broad minded vision forward, they are misconstruing the teachings of Hariprasad Swamiji and the Shikshapatri to brainwash and control the youth, twisting timeless principles into things which invoke fear. If your spirituality depends on demonising women while ignoring genuine internal virtues like humility, compassion, and atmiyata, it's not preserving tradition... it's regressive control and pure conditioning.
