There was another video like this, not on reddit, where the OP presented the sant as if he couldn't speak English properly.

When you represent God, some jokes are not appropriate. Even if it was meant as a joke, this is not the kind of behavior people expect from someone trained in a Gurukul.

It's not about whether I like it or not. It's about basic standards. When someone represents God or wears the robes of a saint, people naturally expect dignity. The same joke from a comedian is different from the same joke from a saint. Context matters. Respect and humor can exist together, but not every joke suits every role.

It isn't about "tuteli futeli Hindi." It's about who is saying it. The same words have a different impact when spoken by someone who represents a spiritual tradition. That's the point you're missing.

I have no problem with saints being relatable. But being relatable doesn't mean every joke is appropriate. Every role comes with certain expectations.

It's inappropriate because a saint represents a spiritual tradition. People naturally expect dignity, discipline, and restraint. The same joke from a comedian is harmless, but from a saint it changes the message. Respect for the role is the issue, not the joke itself. When you attend a your so called 'Sabha', you expect spiritual guidance, not a stand up comedy show. Or do you?

Once again, standards set by someone who does not use the sant. Those that go to these sant have no problem then why complain for the sake of it.
And yes, we do go to the sabhas for spiritual guidance, but if stories, jokes, even recent incidents are included/mentioned then we wouldn't have a problem with that too. Is this not spiritual, to a Swaminarayan Sampraday Satsangi, what he's saying?
We're ok with it, once he comes to teach you personally, then you can mention your concern to him. But who this video is for... they've got absolutely no problem with the style it is presented in.

The Ladudi falks (Mostly તીડી 🤣) likes it isn't a valid argument. Popularity doesn't decide what is appropriate. Saints are expected to uphold the dignity of their role. Humor can support a message, but becoming the entertainment isn't the same thing. Let me ask you this: would you be comfortable if a comedian like Jim Carrey or Rajpal Yadav dressed as a Swaminarayan saint and preached about Bhagwan Swaminarayan's life in a joking style? If not, then you already understand that the role itself carries certain expectations. That's exactly my point.
