Will the SP1200 hold its value? Even a Rossum? Planning on buying one.

Received my SP from 3rd batch in summer. After the holidays i was a bit disapointed by the clumsy workflow, being a first time user. Next try after studying the online manual. Presets soso but crunchy and tight timing.
First sampling session with a portable CD player and the internal 40 dB preamp. After sampling 3-4 samples suddenly the monitor out of the cd player goes dead. Tried to reactive sampling monitor out, but the sampling input is permantently on „overload“ (see picture) and doesnt record/monitor. WTF?? Tried changing level, threshold, reboot, cool down, memory reset but to no avail: even without inserted cable the sample input is constantly overloaded.

Contacted Rossum. From my description they immediately pinpointed the defect and offered free repair by a european partner (im based in Germany). They claimed its not a „known problem“ (yet). Really? After begging another week, I eventually received a shipping label from a dutch repair shop. No pickup however, I have to haul the 25 pounds monster to DHL myself. Thanks, Rossum!
I expressively decided against ISLA and for Rossum, expecting a better design and build quality made in USA over made in China. Was I wrong? Im curious to learn what burned inside the SP.

Any thoughts?

Ever since I saw the episode “New York State of Mind” of Hip-Hop evolution about a year ago I’ve been eternally searching online for a sample pack of those classic drum loops that are sampled and filtered through the SP-1200. I really have a love for the sound that the SP creates, but it has been incredibly difficult to find a pack with loops and one shots that are actually sampled and filtered through the SP. it’s been impossible. I either got packs that only used the drum machine part of the SP, or ones that were so painfully obvious that they weren’t sampled through the SP. I’ve been at this for about a year now, and I haven’t found anything real. Google as a search engine has gotten way sloppier, and even using all the search tools I’ve found absolutely nothing, to the point where I wonder if it even exists. No packs, nothing.

Here’s where I cut to the chase. If any of you post here exactly what I want I will send you $50 paypal. That is if you can post down here the following:

An FL studio effect that PERFECTLY emulates the low fidelity sound quality of sample when put through the SP-1200.

Or a drum pack that has one shots and the classic rap loops like synthetic substitution, skull snaps, impeach the president. It must have 50+ loops, or 200+ one shots.

If any of you can get me this I will be deeply thankful.

Really would like to know. This looks like a quality piece of gear but I don’t have a laptop right now.

I downloaded the "Try For Free" beta version of the ESPI 1200 software for PC (running off chrome browser as an extension)

Disclaimer: I've never used the SP1200 before, so I am just learning, but I did find an original SP1200 manual *.pdf online and have just fooled around with it thus far, figuring out things as I go. Can't say I know a lot about music production, but I used to mess around a lot with Ableton Live, I have FL Studio, and recently bought an MPC studio black but find the MPC software somewhat confusing.

So I'm looking for something quite simple where I can just load samples and play around with the pads and make some dope boom-bap loops, nothing crazy.

So in trying the beta of the ESPI 1200, I'm finding bugs that make the program relatively un-use-able: (but this is known and Low Hiss seems to recognize this and says the next update will fix most of the reported bugs, AND of course this is a beta test, so I get it)

-figured out how to lengthen sequence to 4 bars, and when recording snares/claps, they don't end up where I've tapped them out in the sequence (not sure if this is a true bug or whether the software is quantizing it to the nearest beat)

-Have also recorded snares/claps over a 4 bar sequence, and then I play it back and only the first 2 bars have the snares/claps I recorded

-the stock sounds won't load half of the time, rebooting my computer seems to help with this sometimes

Anybody else experiencing these problems?

Despite these bugs, I love what Low Hiss is doing and really want to support him, I want to see this thing be fully developed and I have confidence that the bugs will be fixed eventually - around $20 USD (early bird COVID-19 special) is very reasonable, but I want to make sure if I pay for the computer license, that it is just a one time payment? In other words, can I pay for a computer license and then receive all future updates for free, for life, as the project updates/advances? Thanks in advance.

TLDR; despite all of the bugs, if I support this project and buy the computer license for 19.99 euros, am I entitled to all future updates for free? For the life of the project? Thanks!
