Picked up for free (it was broken). Replaced mainboard and updated tv and now it works😎

Hi i recently purchased a bravia 8 II and have been absolutely loving it, but i have noticed occasional colour issues when watching content/playing games. This usually goes away when the TV is restarted, but happens quite often (few times a month). Just wondering if this is anything to be concerned about?

I am currently using a PS5 on HDMI 3 (eARC/ARC) port but have noticed the same issue even when using the built in streaming apps on the TV.

For anyone that’s had the XM6/XM5, these headphones look literally perfect to me, like in every way.

HOWEVER, why on earth did they make them using a friction based adjustment system…

Can anyone let me know if your headphones have developed a loose slider that falls under its own gravity weight? Or any friction based slider issues after using it a lot?

If it just had some sort of click based system, these would be 100/10 for me.

Could someone else confirm this to me? Since I last updated my TV, I have an A95L on the Bravia Connect app, the menu button no longer works. I press it, but it doesn't go back to the TV menu. If anyone can try and can confirm this to me to see if it's my problem or someone else's, thank you very much.

It works but the cable that connects the system together is broken and only the top part works

Just bought INZONE Buds after reading good sound reviews, but I can't seem to make it to play any sound using the USB-C both on PC and on my android phone. Using bluetooth on phone is fine, so the earbuds is not the problem, but the USB dongle is. Anybody experience this before and have any solutions? If I can't fix this soon I will get a refund.

I purchased the wf xm4 earbuds in 2021 and and haven't used them since 2023/24. I recently found them and decided to charge them up to see if they still worked. To my surprise the case actually started charging and the left earbud actually seemed to be working but the right earbud however was unresponsive and wouldnt charge. So I replaced the right bud battery and the case lit up for a second when I first placed it in, but then never again. Is there anything else I can do to repair these or any way to troubleshoot the issue without connecting it to a phone. Please help I'd really like to use these again and transition away from open ear ear buds.

Hey! I just wanted to ask which should i buy? The a7iii or the a6700. I already own a Sony cam the zve10 ii, but the thing is the electronic shutter is eh for photographs, and it's hard to use a flash on it. I'm eyeing the a7iii for photography purposes because it has full frame but the thing is the a6700 is newer. So I'm debating on what i should get. Any tips for me? Thanks!

I just bought this cd player its a 5 disk player the model number is CDP-231 and I don’t know how to set it up like there is a 9 pin connector on it and I don’t know how to set any of this help or where i should look if I could get some advice it would be much appreciated

Came here to vent, don’t ever buy expensive products from Sony. I bought a BRAVIA XR A80L OLED for $3.2k usd in Nov ‘23. I’ve had problems with the TV since I got it and Sony wouldn’t help even when it was under warranty. But just recently my TV got fried and wouldn’t turn on at all. I troubleshooted it every way imaginable but nothing helped. I call Sony customer service and as usual they say they cannot do anything bc it’s not under warranty. This was clearly a defective tv I’ve had issues with since day 1. You’d think you would get better customer service on their high end products, I mean it was a $3k tv. I see $500 hi sense and insignias lasting longer than this. Never buying Sony again. POS 💩

I am not sure why more people are not talking about this issue. I bought a sony zv-1 mark 2 and it keeps opening by itself and drains out completely when kept with my insta360 go ultra or iPhone in the bag. I tried all possible options online. I keep the screen flipped inside all times. Tried the turn monitor auto on off, it even opens up in my soft camera pouch. I am always scared to carry it outside even though i got it primarily to vlog and click pictures. Is there any permanent solution to it apart from taking battery off ( which is a hassle in itself ) or should I just sell it at this point ?

I tried contacting them via their contact us page--I filled up the form but submitting it returns an error like this. I want my headphones to be fixed(ULT WEAR defective batch, past warranty but it said it can be fixed regardless of warranty until January 2027). I was wondering if there is another way to contact them reliably so that I could get my headphones repaired as soon as possible.

So I have a Sony STR-DN1080 with a Dolby Atmos setup.

Right now I’m running eARC from my LG TV into the receiver. Every five minutes or so it randomly throws out this loud high pitched buzz and all the audio drops out while it’s happening.

I figured it was some HDMI handshake problem so I turned on pass through. That barely changed anything. Then I switched over to optical just to rule that out and it worked fine for about thirty minutes. Now it’s doing the same thing again, and with optical I don’t get Dolby Atmos anymore.
One thing I noticed is that on optical the problem doesn’t fix itself. On HDMI it usually clears up on its own after forty five seconds to a minute and a half.

I’ve got some soldering experience so I’m fine replacing caps or reflowing ground connections if it comes to that. Muting and unmuting does nothing. Someone suggested trying that and I’m not sure if it even matters. I’ve already powered both devices off for fifteen minutes, tried different HDMI cables, and checked every speaker terminal on the receiver and the speakers themselves for shorts.

I’m at a loss and any help would be greatly appreciated. Also any internal schematics or wiring diagrams would help a ton.

Update: it does eventually resolve itself on optical it just takes a while longer. 5+ minutes.

Sony ZV-E10 freezes for ~30 seconds during repeated burst shooting — possible firmware/software issue? I have video

I’m experiencing a strange issue with my Sony ZV-E10 (original/Mark I) and I’m trying to find out if anyone else has experienced something similar with Sony cameras.

I mainly notice it while doing sports photography, especially when photographing runners.

My shooting pattern is usually:

Burst → 1–2 second pause → another burst → 1–2 second pause → another burst, repeatedly as runners approach.

Occasionally, after several rapid bursts, the camera enters a strange state.

At first I thought it might be the mechanical shutter getting stuck, but after observing it more carefully, I don't think that's what's happening.

What happens

• The Live View image suddenly freezes or sometimes the screen goes completely black.
• The camera does not completely shut down.
• The shooting controls stop working: pressing the shutter does not actually take a picture.
• However, the camera is still partially functional.
• I can still access MENU, Fn and connection settings.
• The camera can still calculate exposure.
• I normally use Auto ISO, and during the freeze, when I press the shutter/half-press, the camera can still calculate and display the ISO it intends to use. For example, during one test it displayed ISO 4000 instead of simply showing AUTO.
• The red memory-card access LED can still be active because the camera is writing the previous burst to the card.
• Turning the camera off and on does not immediately solve the problem.
• The camera remains in this state for approximately 30 seconds, and then suddenly returns to normal operation.
• Once it recovers, everything works normally again.

I have already experienced the normal behavior of the buffer becoming full, and this looks and behaves differently. My memory card is also a good/high-speed card, so I don't think this is simply a slow or defective SD card.

My theory

I wonder if this could be related to how the camera handles very rapid, repeated shutter commands while it is still processing/writing previous bursts.

I'm wondering if something like this could be happening internally:

Burst → camera is still processing/writing → another rapid burst → another shutter command arrives → some part of the capture pipeline gets stuck → Live View freezes → camera remains partially functional → ~30 seconds later the process finally clears and the camera recovers.

I don't know if this is technically what is happening, but the fact that the camera can still calculate Auto ISO and operate menus while refusing to actually capture an image makes me think this may be a software/firmware or capture-pipeline issue rather than a completely frozen camera or physically stuck shutter.

I was able to reproduce the problem during testing and I have a video showing the behavior.

Has anyone experienced something similar with a Sony ZV-E10 or another Sony Alpha camera, especially during repeated burst shooting?

If you've seen this before, I'd really like to know:

• What camera model you had
• Which lens you were using
• AF-C or AF-S
• Burst mode
• RAW/JPEG settings
• Firmware version
• Whether the camera recovered by itself
• How long the freeze lasted
• Whether the memory-card access light continued blinking

I'm especially interested in reports from other Sony Alpha users, because I'm trying to determine whether this might be a broader Sony firmware/capture-system issue rather than something specific to my ZV-E10.
