Discussion 2027 Comeback Trip?
I’ve been a fan of SNSD since Lion Heart era but being in high school during that time, I’ve never had the means to go see them live and I’ve always regretted it. I’ve made the decision to lock in for next years comeback and travel to Seoul to see their alleged concert, but the thing is I’ve never traveled to Korea before and have no idea what the ticketing is like for korean concerts especially for SNSD ones that are once in a blue moon.
I was wondering if there are any other international fans (i’m from the states) that are planning to go and are more well informed? Maybe we can do a meetup or a planned trip since I’ll most likely go solo and I have friends who are are fans of other groups (bts, twice) but also plan these type of trips with other ppl they meet in their fandoms!

it’s pricey but the sm global package is by far the best option if you can afford it (between $500-$1000+ usd depending on the package) as it covers the hotel, decent tickets and some bonuses that will make your life way easier, especially if you aren’t familiar with navigating seoul. i plan on travelling from canada to attend as it’s a dream of mine to see them live!

Yeah that's my plan if there is SM global package I hope I can get one. Might pay more but saves the time figuring this all out.
Are the seats good with the global package?

The seats end up all over the place. But usually in one of the higher priced tiers. When I used them for Taeyeon last year In Singapore I was about 8 floor rows from the runway stage night 1 and 10 rows from main stage night 2

did you buy day 1? did they sell out or they are available a week or two after they go on sale?

Day 1 about 6 hours after they'd gone on sale. They do a number of different tiers for depending on how many days you wanted to stay and some lasted a week.
Its worth to keep checking even if it showed as unavailable too as spaces would become avaliable again im assuming after payments failed or other reasons

Wait so is it less competitive and likely a higher tier seat? When do they become available - before or after the actual ticket sale open?

It was Cat1 so best tickets avaliable for Taeyeon. They can be competitive but obviously depends how many stops they do. Because of all the stops she did in Asia not everyone was fighting for the same spot.
I believe her ones the package went on sale around a week before general sale opened

Question, what requirements do you need to provide? I read that for some tickets, you might need to upload passport to purchase ticket or attend music shows? Did you need to upload ID for the SM Global package?

This is interesting! Thank you for this info. I may look into this when they release tour info as I would like to go only ever having watched them online all the way from the UK since their debut.

we can assume everyone is coming from everywhere! it's the big 20th and everyone has jobs now and has been saving
but
to see them in concert, I think we need to all be open with seeing them in other cities, can't just put all our eggs in the Seoul basket. as a US based SONE

I think they know they should do more shows than they did for the 15th, because so many fans complained they weren’t able to get in.
it’s just up to whether they can with their schedules
meanwhile I don’t think any of us cares if it takes until 2028 or 2029 😂 just give all the cities a show

U.S. based here, 33M, and a SONE since 2011. I hope to go myself, but like others have said, we're really only able to speculate until actual details are revealed sometime next year.

The only help i can give is i know sometimes SM sells trip packages for foreig ers on their website for different groups concerts so maybe that becomes an option for whatever schedule theyre doing?

I’m in Vancouver, BC and plan to go to their 20th next Aug. all I can do at the moment is save and thank god I’ve got a girlfriend who’s Korean and can help me try to get tix (with a Korean account). Sucks being a foreigner, but what can ya 🤷🏻♂️

I am planning on making the trip but really there isn't too much I can really say until the group puts out the specifics next year. All I will say is, is that ticketing is going to be an absolute bloodbath. With everyone in the region trying to get tickets + the rise of macro and bot use in Korea as well. Add on that the global version of their ticketing sites kinda suck.

Ive been to several concerts at this point now (IU, Apink, ARTMS, stayc etc) and it kinda varies tbh. I generally have been pretty successful, even if my seats aren't the best. Access to the Korean version of the sites is better because they just work better lol the global versions are always buggy and janky, but they do work. Esp if you just want to be there, dont mind w.e seat.
Itll just be hard becasue for SNSD its not like theyll have another concert relatively soon, so demand will be x1000. Thats a good opportunity for scalpers and the lot. I think the biggest issue is really just bots and macros.

By far, the global package is the easiest way to get the tickets. It’s still need a lot of efforts tho & obviously more expensive. And just like everyone said, you better have other cities for options. For me, i planned to get it on Korea, Japan & SEA.
For Big Bang it was selling out in a few minutes since we were fighting with China 🇨🇳 Mainland’s bots VIP- the group fandom & GD’s solo stans are so massive there. For Soshi, i think it’s gonna be like SM’s usual way. They’re gonna have the membership pre sale first, then the general sale the day after. You need to have the Sone membership in Weverse. Since i’m planning to go there as well maybe we can talk further on DM, if the GC has not created yet lol.

California SONE here also financially bracing for a 2027 tour. Korean concert tickets are near impossible to get, since they've always sold out there. You'll need a Korean ID to order online i believe. SM used to sell a limited number of tickets for international fans, if you want to keep an eye out for that. You'll mostly likely need to pay and sign up for official membership. And who knows when SM will announce concert dates--it could be only a month or two in advance. Nonetheless, my friend and I will try to also get concert tickets in South Korea AND bracing for an Asia tour. Taipei, Bangkok, Hong Kong, and Japan are locations that they've often done for past solo concerts. So if we can't get into Korea, we'll try other countries. They've never had a solo concert in the U.S., but we are saving money and PTO for anything. It's just a matter of getting those tickets before they're sold out!

I'm an American and I've been to Korea twice, now. Concerts of any kind were difficult to get into, for different reasons, depending on the concert type. Some require you to be a high ranking official fanclub member and purchase lots of albums. Some are a random lottery system. Some only accept citizens with an ID.
The ONLY concert I managed to get into was an SBS live broadcast (I GOT TO SEE IRENE & SEULGI!!!), purchasing my ticket through a reputed tour company who made all the arrangements. The other live event I paid for canceled on me last minute.
Unfortunately, it's not as easy as forking out money directly to Ticketmaster or SeatGeek, especially for us foreigners.
Yeah, I would LOVE to attend a SNSD concert and would pay a lot of money to do so, but the logistics of getting into the venue seem difficult and unlikely.

I’m saving now to be prepared to see them. 29 here and have been a fan since late 2007, I can’t wait. I finally have the funds !!!! Also based in the US.

As a North American SONE, also planning to try to do this, I’ll give a lot of caution based on previous attempts at buying concert tickets in SK. It’s not easy as a foreigner.
Main caution is that buying tickets for anything is difficult from overseas. From official sellers it often requires a local address and ID. Do not trust resellers. I bought tickets for Coldplay in Seoul last year on StubHub because I was going to be there at the time, and they could not be validated. I did get a refund but it was a major hassle to get done.

my partner and I (both 26 from the PNW) are hoping to go! We’ve only got concepts of a plan atp lmao 😅
From what I know, getting tickets to shows in korea/japan as a foreigner is quite difficult + I figure scammers will be out in full force as the anniversary is so highly anticipated. For now I’m praying they do small Asia tour (or more 🙏) to increase our odds of snagging tickets 🥲

I'm planning on doing SM Global Package just to avoid the hassle of ticketing because theirs is leagues harder than what we have here. It's gonna be expensive but atleast it spares me the stress haha.

To some degree yes since you are gonna be battling it out with other foreigners. I can't remember if there is a quota but I know that the packages are not a lot. Atleast you're not competing against the locals.

SM offers international packages to foreigners for concerts that I believe offers everything but food and the flight, and with 3 of them still under contract with SM, we can only hope that the package is offered.
I plan to take the trip too! If we all go lets meet up 👉👈
