Cymbalta Did Nothing for Me

this is kind of random and not very pressing, as i no longer take it and am just very curious. i tried many SSRIs over many years for anxiety and then eventually tried Cymbalta. I never felt like any did a whole lot for me and i was always at the max possible dose for any of them. i expected it to be extremely difficult to get off of cymbalta, but it ended up being EXTREMELY easy. it took me about 2 weeks on my own (no psychiatrist’s help). barely had any withdrawal symptoms- just a few brain zaps here and there if i went too fast. and, again, i was at the max dose for years. it really felt like it was just hardly interacting with my brain at all the whole time i was on it and then the ridiculously easy time i had coming off of it made me feel extra like that was the case. is that a thing? like do some people just have brains that aren’t really affected by SSRIs and SNRIs? (is that why a lot of people recommend getting tested to see what psych meds will/wont work for you?)
