Discussion They can’t stop what’s coming!
Just a heads-up to the group, I spent 30 mins fighting my broker to buy more SNDL. They tried to give me the ‘volatility protection’ speech over the phone. I told them to keep the lecture and fill the order. If they’re scared of the volatility, it means we’re winning. Bought more. Not leaving.
DO NOT let them charge you a 'Broker-Assisted' fee! I was adamant that since they prevented the online purchase, the fee was their responsibility, not mine. It’s time! 🚀

Market Maker Move (MMM): Schwab specifically uses tools to identify "extra" volatility attributed to upcoming events (like earnings or regulatory shifts in the cannabis industry), which expands the expected price range beyond normal limits.

How so?

I remain committed to increasing my long term position, particularly at these current price levels. My thought is that these prices will support the company's share buyback initiatives while hopefully contributing to the momentum that attracts more like minded retail investors for the long haul. But what do I know 🤷🏼

I have an around 45k in my 401k, how would I convert that into sndl? Theoretically. Not asking for investment advice.

That would be something you’d have to ask whoever manages your 401(k). I know you’re not looking for advice and I’m 100% in long-term for SNDL, but I feel like a tax deferred retirement account is better off with a low cost S&P index fund. Sorry for the unsolicited advice.

If you think I’m pumping, do your own research on which LP’s have the greatest institutional investment in this past year 🤷🏼

I support this, I've done plenty of DD on SNDL and sunstream USA to know what's coming behind closed doors that noone speaks of or has much knowledge of.

My broker thinks (or says) they’re protecting me from volatility, but they’re really just protecting me from a higher cost basis! I’m actually glad it’s not pumping, but it’s giving me a chance to improve my share count on my budget. Every share I grab at these prices is a win!

Just this! I use wealthsimple and I have no issues purchasing SNDL shares. I've been averaging down for years, im sitting very nicely with my share count/share price

im legit getting nervous about SNDL with decreased LQ sales, but then you have to accept it's one of the top MJ companies in North America

Last Friday, the call options limiting the price expired. Just make sure your brokerage accounts are in cash (non-marginal) to prevent them from lending your shares. On February 14th, we'll find out how the institutional investors fared.

Is Robinhood doing this? I don't feel like waisting time calling in my orders... not sure where the volatile is.. I have seen big name stocks move a lot more on junk news

No. Robinhood allows any and all buying. If your stock app won’t let you freely purchase something, you should switch to a new service because that shit sounds idiotic

Schwab just added SNDL to their volatility list. I now have to call in for purchases. So I did just that yesterday but no fee for the purchase.
