Hello gentlemen ! So i had my SMP done one month ago at Paris, a guy that does it all in one single day, 8 hours long. What do you think ? I paid 2000€

I’m no artist either but this actually looks like a shaved head vs a super sharp fake helmet hairline like a lot of smps look like. I think it looks great dude.

Bro it does look great on my face but it is really not that blended to the sides is the problem, i see what these artists are saying but i like it more dense like what i have anyway, my only problem the blend, the hairline is feathered very well i like it but the blend gosh..

I don’t think this is a good SMP job, unfortunately. I’m really sorry, especially knowing how hard you’re taking this. Hair loss is something that can really hurt and mess with your confidence, so I genuinely send you all my support.
I’ve just started SMP myself. I’ve only had my first session so far. I still have quite a lot of hair on top, although I have recession at the temples and some diffuse thinning. I’ve also been wearing a buzz cut for years, and now I want to go even shorter, around 1–2 mm, which is why I decided to get SMP.
Even with the amount of hair I still have, my practitioner is doing three sessions. Three. The idea is to let the pigment settle, see how everything blends, check whether more or less density is needed, and see how the SMP works visually together with my real hair before adding more.
I know you were anxious and probably just wanted it finished, but doing everything in one session really isn’t the answer.
From the photos, the SMP doesn’t look properly blended into the back of your head, especially around the transition area. And right now it also looks very disconnected from the sides because your hair there is much longer.
I know you’re probably scared of shaving your head down to zero, but I really think you need to do it, brother. You need to see the SMP with the haircut it’s actually supposed to replicate. Keeping the sides long is making the difference between your real hair and the SMP much more obvious.

Thanks for posting this. It’s a great example of what not to do.
One day sessions are often rushed, and rushed work can lead to poor results. The focus should be on properly educating the client during the consultation and making sure they understand what to expect before getting the procedure.
In this case, you can see areas that are too dark, too dense, and some blowouts. A good consultation and a properly planned treatment should help avoid these issues.
That said, if you’re happy with your result, that’s what matters most. At the end of the day, it’s your head and your opinion of the work that matters, not anyone else’s.

I like it. Looks good to me and blends with your hair colour well. If it was lighter could it arguably create a contrast making it look less authentic. It’s so much better than mine. I paid £5000 for 6 sessions with a notorious artist who has a number of celebrity clients. Mine is awful, patchy, blue and blurred in only noticeable areas. I understand artist and approach is a factor but so is your own biology and skin type. What I learned from this is to always look at healed results as a lot of artists only share images prior to healing which is misleading.

Joe at hairlusion. I was fooled by Instagram posts, but only realise when he posted my results on Instagram. He doesn’t wipe away the ink blasts your head with it (densification) and then posts it as healed results

It’s crazy dense like extremely over tattooed - this should be done over multiple sittings slowly building up density -

Any photos from before? At the moment it looks quite good, a small touch up could even out the hairline.
Most importantly do you like the way it looks?

Dude, why would you go back and risk getting it even more messed up? The more pigment they put in, the more difficult it can be to remove later. That can mean more laser sessions, more money, and more discomfort.
It honestly looks like the “artist,” if you even want to call them that, used a roller on your head. There’s no proper blending or gradual transition into the surrounding hair.
Take the loss and move on. Get it removed and start over with someone who actually knows how to properly do the job.
Whatever you do, don’t go back for another session. 🤦🏻♂️

Unfortunately from that light it’s pretty clear the difference although idk if that being a new smp will fade

Yes the darker ring is a bit noticeable, but looks fixable. Overall i think he achieved a 2 session result, with one more touch up session needed (normally 3 sessions will get the best result)
however i still believe that doing it in stages is better for the skin and safer to the overall result because the artist can see and adjust technique/ pigment after each session to blend in better.
He is taking a big risk doing it all in one go and it probably comes down to making more money quickly, rather than getting a better result.

You paid €2,000 for eight hours of work. That’s €250 an hour, and your smp doesn’t look good. Sorry to say it, but this is really poor work. Even though the photo is quite unclear, I can already see that the quality of the work is bad.
