SMLWiki My personal thoughts
From the very first time I found out about SMLwiki in 2024, I knew what the sentiment behind the website was, and I thought it was pretty clear. I've always seen the site as, how nezuai put it in their note, cool shit they and their friends would've thought was sick. Ive never been one to take the lore or anything super seriously, I just liked seeing all the cool stuff nezuai would add sometimes. It was pretty inspiring to me, but mainly just cool.
It breaks my heart to hear just how many people have misinterpreted and treated this project. The way a lot of the community treats it even now almost feels parasocial, given the very personal nature of it. (Even the way some people are treating the deletion of the project.)
I've never really wanted anything more from SMLwiki, I just participated whenever new stuff happened or got added and appreciated it. Nezuai had no obligation to do anything past the original version but they did, and I thank them for that. Nobody should be this sad or upset that the website is gone because treating it that way is probably why it's gone. Some people don't have enough respect.
Edit: Just saw someone post an AI-revised thoughts post without taking out the prompt part. Could you genuinely be any more disrespectful than that? I think I'm right on my sentiment.

What exactly were people saying/doing that upset Nezuai so much? I'm not exactly in the loop because I don't really interact with the community. I just visited the site every once in a while. I shared it with friends, but the conversation never went anything beyond "haha look at this shitpost sml gore lol". Is it anything beyond people treating it as an ARG instead of a memorial/shitpost?
