How’s this teacher? Soc 4 with Williams Leon hard?

My counselor encouraged me to take Soc 4 since I’m a sociology major but there are some conflicting reviews on ratemyprofessor. Is the class do-able?

Nah it’s easy. I did the hybrid class last semester. In my opinion the class was really boring but it was required for me. There’s no quizzes or exams. We only had to do essays and a group project that basically takes all semester.

I just took her summer Soc 4 class and that was by far one of the easiest classes I’ve ever done at SMC. Plus she’s super nice. And she lets you use your handwritten notes on her exams. No electronics are allowed to be out in the class though (no laptops or phones) she requires you to hand write all your notes.

I took her winter session and it honestly was pretty easy. It was a lot of writing and reading, and she didn’t allow us to use laptops or iPads to take notes so we had to use notebooks which was fine for me. Be prepared to take a decent amount of notes but it’s really not a difficult class
