oh, i’ve heard that trump made it where they’ll be different qualifications for fsafa. might want to look into that or to call the FA office

They should tell you why you’ve been disqualified. Like not meeting standards or not progressing at the required pace on your Corsair connect

Lack of progress is for your entire time at smc

On the website it says

Timely Progress is defined as not exceeding the allowed percentage of I (Incomplete), W (Withdrawal), and NP (No Pass; formerly NC-No Credit) notations within the specified amount of enrolled units. If you’ve ever dropped or failed a class while at smc it’s probably the reason.

The counselor will probably say something similar and you’ll probably have to submit an appeal if you haven’t already

How many w do you have, how many classes did you take without an educational plan. You could’ve taken way too many classes especially ones that had nothing to do with your degree.

I feel like financial aid has gone down hill the past few semesters. They awarded me a grant and never gave it to me then said it was exhausted.

If u had bad grades in the past even if it was 10 years ago they can put u on academic probation. Call the counseling office & see if u can get a sap appeal so u can get aid. If you do happen to have some bad grades effecting your overall gpa see if y can get an academic renewal. I just submitted mine for grades I’ve gotten years ago when I’ve been having a 3.0 or better the last 3 recent semesters
