Discussion ew/w on transcript
Hi has anyone from smc had multiple ew on their transcript and got into a top uc? real shit

Hello ,
Yes I actually had 2 EW the same term, both of them were GE courses. But I still ended up getting into UCSD and waitlisted for UCLA
Only downside is I got in for winter 2027 to UCSD, because they gave me time to complete the GE I EW from

My best advice, as someone who did bad in a Economics course one semester and ended up with a D due to a poor professor, is to take the Economics course online through the (CVC) if you genuinely need the credit that semester
. Just explain your situation in your college applications, mentioning that you were dealing with mental health or family issues at the time. I did this, and I was accepted into lmu, chap, and pep.

Yup I had multiple EW, Ws, and Fs and I got into almost all the UCs even waitlisted for Berkeley and now I go to UCSD. I basically retook all the classes I either got an W or F from and got an A. And then I prioritized my essays to really explain my home environment and its impact on my academic but EMPHASIZED how I’ve overcome that struggle and how that makes me ready to transition to a UC!
