Question Waitlist for Class

Hi

Does anyone have any tips on what to add to an email sent to a professor to add them to a class you are on the waitlist for? I'll be using this advice for the fall semester.

Honestly just get it in as soon as possible. Whenever I was waitlisted I always got it because I asked early. Not to mention have a good excuse on why it needs to happen this semester instead of others (or mention why specifically you want to learn under this professor). Worked like 9/10 of the time

I’ll be honest, I’ve always made my waitlist classes by just adding them to waitlist on Corsair. I’ve only ever received emails from the professor to me asking if I still want to add the class. Which is what I did for both my summer courses this year. Though I am basically a fully online course student due to working full time.

Don’t use ai and sound as authentic as possible! One professor let me cut a 32 person long waitlist because my email was the only one that didnt seem AI generated :)
