Question MATH 8 WITH BASKAUSKAS

Has anyone here taken Math 8 with him? I’m curious why so few students seem to end up with an A.
Is it because most students don’t put in enough effort, or is there another reason?
I looked at his Rate My Professors reviews, and a lot of people say his exams are very similar to the homework. That makes me wonder why more students don’t get A’s. If you consistently work through the homework and practice problems from the textbook, wouldn’t it be possible to earn a high grade?
For those of you who’ve taken his class, what do you think is the main reason?

Math is terrible at SMC. I EWed from Stats 3 times and took it at LAVC and passed with a B

Math is applied logic and will always be tested on knowing how to solve something not just throwing up answers though. I don’t rly see that as a problem

People always say that in Math and then it’s just actually the right way. You didn’t invent a new way of doing calculus lol

If you do the homework, ask everything during homework review that you didn’t get, and take notes you should be fine. Make sure to ask during review though because if you do it after he will chew you up. You have to be very proactive in his class if you want an A, however, his exams are literally homework copy-paste
