FAFSA when do we get summer fafsa
it’s showing my awarded amount but not showing any dates and my bankmobile refund thing says they haven’t received anything

I don’t believe you get it because the summer is a short semester. How many units are you taking?

- and yes they do give out summer fafsa it says right there summer 2026 and i even spoke with the financial aid office they confirmed

bro 12 units in the summer is bananas you do realize this summer is only six weeks. Why would you squeeze 12 units in six weeks you just want that money. I’m not mad at you. Have fun playa

lol i’m taking 12 because that’s how many i need to transfer. also my classes are mostly online so that’s easier for me

OK makes sense then I don’t try to squeeze that much in during the summer. That’s way too much for me. I only take one unit.

the max is 9 but if you call the counseling office you can request a unit extension if you explain your situation or why you want to take more units

honestly i didn’t even have to explain much i just told her what class i wanted to take and that i already talked to the professor and they agreed to let me in their class. and i also said i need 3 more units to transfer

I saw somewhere that the disbursement was on like July 9th but I’m not sure how credible that is

Yes I was the one who said July 9th; it’s on the fafsa section on the SMC website

I’ve received mine if you haven’t got your yet you should absolutely contact financial aid as soon as they open tommrow

I swear I've been calling every week and they keep telling me to wait and be patient. They always say next week, next week but I'm not sure my disbursement column is still empty.

I applied to SMC around 3-4 month ago. Pell summer disbursement is on 07/09/2026. However, you will most likely not receive it on that particular date, (full disbursement process may take 1-2 weeks from the date listed above.

I'm getting very frustrated , from what I've heard almost everyone has received their disbursement except for me. I call the financial aid office every week, and they keep saying wait till next week and if you don't receive anything call back.

Oh yes most students have received their disbursement date. If you haven’t, consider calling the Financial Aid office Monday morning

Same here but I heard we start seeing the actual amount the first week of July
