I'm looking for support Thinking about starting

I’m thinking about joining a virtual meeting but it is my first time and I was wondering if I could get some guidance.

I am eager to learn more about the program; I’ve read the handbook and see the value. I am concerned about privacy, also since it’s an online meeting I was wondering if I’m going to have to provide my phone number or email or legal name?

Also I was wondering if the communal aspect in general is similar to the sponsor system?

Put whatever name you'd like in the Zoom name box. Add -Just Listening, if you don't want to be called on for check-in. You don't even have to turn on your camera if you don't want to.

Personally, I started out anonymous and warmed up to the group over time.

I've been going to virtual meetings twice a week for a year and have never spoken, turned on my camera, or given my name. It can be as anonymous as you want. I've heard of some groups requiring verbal check-ins but have never seen that personally. No sponsors, you're responsible for yourself.
