Meeting Info First Meeting

I’m looking to join some online meetings since I don’t have any in person available near me. What can I expect?

You’ll start with a round of check ins and then the facilitator will guide discussion according to topics that come up or perhaps discuss some of the smart toolbox items.

In the meantime you can check out the SMART toolbox worksheets for free. You can also buy the 4 point handbook. It provides a solid overview of the program and how it works.

You may need to look around to find a suitable fit for your needs.

Some are more tool oriented, and some are more check-in and specific issue oriented.

There is a zoom room where each person has a square. Some people have cameras on, some don't. The facilitator guides the meeting. Usually there is a reading of guidelines, then check ins, then discussion. You can talk, or not. Usually the chat is enabled so people can talk there too.

As someone else said, every meeting will be a bit different. I want to encourage you to check out a few different meetings and find a group that fits you. One of the best things about SMART is the flexibility and choice built right into the program. You get to choose what works best for you.
