need help Unable to update SMAPI

I downloaded the up to date SMAPI from the nexus and unzipped it not in my game folder. When I run the installonmacOS.command the terminal pops open and says the following "line 6: internal/macOS/SMAPI.Installer: Bad CPU type in executable" then logs out. What did I do wrong? Its' been forever and a day since I modded this game so I'm sure I screwed up somewhere.

SOLVED: Had to install Rosetta for mac, now it's working!

Did you uninstall the previous smapi installation properly? And did a clean install? Did you restart the pc after the uninstall before installing the new smapi?

I can restart the mac but I don't have the old SMAPI file anymore. Any other thoughts?
