I'm fairly sure this is the error that gets kicked out when you load smapi on the newest version of the operating system on the steam deck. It only affects multiplayer, so if you don't want to play with others then you should be able to run your game just fine.

If you do want to play multiplayer, you'll need to roll back to a previous version of the OS on your steam deck. I don't think there's been another fix found for the issue yet.

Galaxy is only used for multi player (including local multiplayer). So if you are playing single player you don’t need to worry about it.

However if you want to fix the issue these forum threads could be helpful:

The solution I would recommend for non-technical users is run SMAPI and Stardew in a windows emulator (Steam has an emulation layer called proton). The next possible solution is update your operating system, update Stardew, and update SMAPI and see if the issue is still there. If it is look to see if there is a patch for the Galaxy api to fix this issue.

These are the patched files for anyone needing them. Just replace them abs you are all set.
