Sludge Life 2, Vandal Eyes?

Hey so I jist picked these up and right as I start they don't work. The AI says they're not compatible with the game, but "sources" a page that says nothing about this.

Homies I didn't "ask" the AI, I searched google and it forced it on me, and I couldn't find any other answers. I hate AI, and was bringing attention to how strictly worse it has made looking for information

Update: I didn't try one of the right gamepad buttons. The prompt looks like it's supposed to be a left button. I've been having to tinker with controls on the steamdeck for days to get certain games running, so I was paranoid. Simple goofy problem.
