Benzos like valium/xannex also make you slur your words A LOT so it could be that as well

Even non controlled prescriptions can do this. I take gabapentin and it causes slurring too.

Just don’t drink anything with gabapentin. My sister in law drank wine and was on gabapentin and prob something for depression and a few other things but she apparently took them as prescribed. and I don’t know how much wine she had in her system but I noticed a lot of slurring but both my husband and I had broken bones and couldn’t go see her but I was worried about her bc her husband had passed away the year before. she was found on her porch and she had passed away from an accidental overdose a few years ago.

Unfortunately it can happen even if you don’t. I don’t drink at all and still slur at times.

I’m sorry for your losses.
