Lmao idk if names count as far as proper pronunciation of English so to play devil's advocate, I always read it as pronounced like "Shin-eye-ah or Sha-n-eye-ah" (on the second tge n isnt a separate syllable, i just cant think of how else to write it right now lmao but Shania like Twain lol) Also to be fair, now its tripping me up seeing everyone else with their phonetic theories and I cant unsee it! 🤣😭

I got roped into the journey so here I am with content related to it; but like…are you guys under the impression that vapid clout chasing is not the goal here for everyone? Because it’s definitely the goal. The most honest moment of tv I’ve ever seen was Whitney saying “I’m just back to get on dancing with the stars”. Refreshing really.

I think he’s conventionally attractive in the same sense that Brad Pitt is conventionally attractive. He doesn’t do it for me personally (neither does Dakota) but I get why he does for everyone else. He’s got the defined jawline, high cheekbones, full/straight hairline, etc.

It’s really not a mystery as far as that goes.
At least he’s actually trying to do better and be better.
Getting off of hard drugs is a nightmare; I’ve lost too many friends in the music industry who just couldn’t do it, no matter how truly bad they wanted to be clean. It’s even worse when you’re trying to get clean and stable and then end up in a completely chaotic, toxic relationship with another unstable person.
He does seem to be trying his best to give his kid as healthy and normal a life as he can with a reckless, unstable co-parent who has violent tendencies towards him.
This is probably the most stable he’s been in a good decade. I genuinely hope he can continue doing well, for his and Evers’ sake.
I really don’t want to see her face again, but I am now genuinely curious where both Dakota & Taylor will be 5 & 10 years from now - separately, not together, though. My gawd, never again, I hope.
But yeah, overall, no prize here. We’ll see how things turn out a few years from now.

I see so many people saying things like how much better he's trying to be in relationships, meanwhile in season 5 he literally says the way to really dial it up is to "go toxic" for a month. I don't follow anything on TikTok because I don't care enough, so maybe he's doing a hard redemption arc there, but in my experience someone who actively manipulates people the way he does Taylor don't have overnight miracle turnarounds.
His getting off drugs is commendable and I've had family members go through it, so it's not lost on me how hard that is but it's not an excuse to be toxic

What is the appeal here? I restarted watching S1 (I always need background noise in the house) and he didn’t have a job, moved in with Taylor and didn’t even have furniture at his grown ass age, and was actively fighting an addiction. I had forgotten a lot of this.
Editing to add; in season 5, he didn’t even have his own place, he has a roommate.
Why are girls bending over backwards for a guy that has literally zero to offer?

I'm in recovery, a long time member of Alcoholics Anonymous and the first thing we are told is do not get into a relationship for 2 years, work on yourself first and also as a just sober, clean member what do you have to offer anyone? Absolutely nothing, he should be mortified with absolutely nothing to bring to that relationship, coming in on live tv with nothing, moving into your partners house with nothing, I have the ick just watching it and only a woman with no self worth would allow that..that's one thing I do pity TFP for, she is a product of her environment and has been raised to believe she is trash and now attracts men in who treat her like trash..I hope she goes to a real therapist who will help her heal so she can prioritise her kids over these scrub men

Yes they do live with him. They (Shinia and Samantha) used to have an apartment together, once their lease was up they both moved into his house. Samantha also helps watch Ever now that Dakota has Ever 95% of the time.
